I'm surprised and relieved to find no
rashes, no zits, no drips. Just clean, clear, sober eyes.
Nope, I'm not crazy. Maybe a little Goofy...

I go outside and sit for awhile. The birds seem not to care. The
rains will begin soon. Am I reliving some paranoid dream? Could
the things I've been saying would happen ....really happen? How could
the sky be falling? That graffiti all over the place... was I right
all along...? Is it instead, the writing on the wall....?

Traveling in the poorer Central American countries, it's easy to pass
beggars on the street. A leg missing, an old woman with no teeth,
kids smiling like they can't help it cause they're kids; but they're
begging for the scraps on your plate as you finish off a good steak.
It's easy to ignore. Just say, "this isn't my beautiful life".
"There's something wrong, I don't know what it is but somehow....I'm
above it"....yeah, that's what you say... These people have no
souls...look at those hollow eyes....if I gave them everything I
owned, it wouldn't make a dent...still, now and then I stop and do
what I can. So would you.

A woman came up to me a month ago in Nicaragua; she asked me to buy
milk for her baby. I reached in my pocket and she stopped me. No,
please, the milk is in that store, please buy it for me. She wanted
to be clear it wasn't for anything more than her baby. I insisted and
gave her the money and she raced to the store. ...made me feel good
all day.
I subscribe to all kinds of news. Some if it I have to squint at
because it looks too sensational. I edit what goes on FuzzNews best I
can. Lately, I remind myself of a crazy man yelling the sky is
falling and wonder if I've become sensationalist, too. Lately I
transpose the people I see in San Jose to my friends and family in the
states. Why is one in nice clothes with a bit of a paunch and the
other big boned fellow skinny as a rail? Why was it years ago, I could
look across the border from El Paso to Juarez and see fine clean
highway and a hundred meters away a shanty town with trash blown
against the fence?

Why the difference? What's the difference? I suspect one group takes
their rights from their government. I believe the other takes theirs
from their Creator.

The Creator, whoever he is, just wound us up and sent us off to do
whatever comes to mind. He built in a system of Karma that says,
"what goes around, comes around", and religions formed around this
idea. Do unto others what you'd like others to do unto to you....you
reap what you sow... fuck-up and amona bust yo lip...every action has
an equal reaction.

It boils down to natural rights. Free men can DO anything they
want...THINK anything they want....BELIEVE anything they want: as long
as they don't make victims. Government's only real job is to sort
that shit out. Who's the victim...who done it...make 'em pay
restitution to the victim.

A man who gets his rights from the state needs to ask permission for
every move. A store needs to pay minimum wage to a man who's not
worth it but still wants the job....he's the one selling pencils on
the street or begging on the corner. Hire a person to work in your
shop, clean your house, sell your cars...the state tells you what you
have to give for Christmas, what to pay for vacations and the various
insurances you need to keep him in Utopia. Who can afford that? He's
sleeping on the street now and picking up cigarette butts so he can
roll his own. A man who gets his rights from the state sometimes
needs permission to visit the next town over.

So I'm going to keep sending this stuff. I'm the beggar on the
corner. Instead of spare change, would you buy a bit of freedom for
my kids? Please mister....don't look ahead and keep on walking....

From: Campaign for Liberty (Google 'em, it's Ron Paul's)
Subject: High Priority: Urge Congress to Reject the Obama Budget

April 16, 2009
Dear Friend of Liberty,
“Never waste a good crisis.”
Those words, first spoken by Obama Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel and
repeated by Hillary Clinton, tell you most of what you need to know
about how the Obama Administration views our teetering economy.

Instead of fixing the problem – out of control government spending and
inflationary monetary policy – President Obama and his allies in
Congress are using our economic crisis as cover for the largest
expansion in government power and spending in over 60 years!

> Simply put – the radical left in Washington DC believe NOW is the time
> to cram their SOCIALIST agenda down the throats of the American
> people.
>
> Sounds bad, right? Well, they’re just getting warmed up.
>
> How about Obama’s open discussion of a “global New Deal” with this
> year’s budget as the starting point?
>
> This isn’t “change”; it’s a takeover.
>
> And I don’t know about you, but I’m ready to fight back.
>
> That’s why I hope you’ll join me and Ron Paul’s Campaign for Liberty,
> as we work to slam the brakes on the out of control federal budget.
>
> This massive new 3.6 TRILLION dollar scheme could well be the final
> nail in the coffin of the American economy, if you and I don’t act
> today.
>
> That’s why it’s vital you submit the STOP THE OBAMA BUDGET
> PriorityGram to Campaign for Liberty. I will give you the link in a
> minute, but first I want to make sure you understand why it is so
> important.
>
> This PriorityGram demands your Congressman and Senators stand up to
> the Obama Administration and vote DOWN his 2 trillion dollar tax
> increase and record 1.7 trillion dollar deficit.
>
> A version of his budget has already passed both houses and is
> currently in conference to work out the differences. It is vital that
> you urge your Congressman and Senators to reject whatever bloated
> compromise comes out of that committee.
>
> The truth is, there has been a mind-boggling explosion of spending and
> state control in the last 8 years.
>
> But my friend, please hear me now: The last 8 years of spending are
> NOTHING compared to this one dangerous budget proposed by Barack
> Obama.
>
> This administration means to tax and spend us right out of existence.
>
> And they’ll surely get away with it, unless you and I help rally
> millions of supporters of freedom and liberty – today.
>
> It’s truly shocking that almost no one seems to be asking a very
> simple question: Where is all of this money going to come from??
>
> Let me give you just a few of the staggering numbers from the Obama budget:
>
> *** Nearly TWO TRILLION dollars in tax hikes, covering everything from
> income taxes to taxes on “polluting” businesses. These tax hikes will
> cripple hundreds of thousands of small businesses, kill off thousands
> of businesses and create an untold number of new government
> bureaucrats.
>
> *** A massive, record-setting deficit of over $1.75 TRILLION dollars
> in JUST THE FIRST YEAR. To compare, that deficit is more than the
> entire federal budget under the free-spending Clinton Administration.
>
> *** You and I -- and even our children -- will now owe over 11
> TRILLION dollars, money we surely will never be able to pay back
> without working virtually every hour of every day for the federal
> government.
>
> How much more can our out of control Fed BORROW?
>
> How much more can our out of control Fed PRINT?
>
> Well, I for one do not want to find out.
>
> If you agree with Ron Paul and Campaign for Liberty on the importance
> of fighting the Obama budget, I urge you to submit your PriorityGram
> today.
>
> As you know, more government spending equals more government power.
> And more government power always equals less freedom for you and me.
>
> *** More bureaucrats telling you what light bulbs to use, what fuel
> you must put in your car ... heck, even what kind of car you can
> drive, if you’re allowed to drive at all.
>
> *** More federal agencies to regulate what treatments you can and
> cannot seek for your own health, which doctors you can see, and what
> drugs you can and cannot take.
>
> *** More government watching your every move, thanks to the continued
> Homeland Security buildup (sharply INCREASED in the Obama budget, by
> the way). They’ll continue or expand their efforts to monitor our
> computer usage, our phones, our bank accounts, our purchases, our
> travel and of course further erode our 2nd Amendment rights.
>
> Some folks say it’s too late, that it won’t make a difference.
>
> I’m glad those folks weren’t alive during the FIRST American
> Revolution or any other of the long, great struggles we have won.
>
> The fact is, the ONLY way to stop our loss of freedom and to begin to
> turn back the tide toward LIBERTY is to take a stand.
>
> Here and now.
>
> A stand against this massive expansion of government.
>
> A stand against the massive piling up of debt and fake, fiat currency.
>
> A stand against the out of control spending by those flush with power.
>
> Here at Ron Paul’s Campaign for Liberty, we intend to take the fight
> TO the Obama Administration AND the out of control Congress.
>
> More people are seeking out and hearing Ron Paul’s message of limited
> government, sound money, and freedom than ever before. And they want
> to join you and me in fighting back.
>
> It’s our job to now rally the troops and mobilize for this battle.
>
> Will you join me by submitting your PriorityGram today, along with
> your maximum possible contribution of $250, $100 or $50?
>
> One man can make a difference. Dr. Paul has proven that.
>
> Now it’s up to you and me to rally millions of patriots to fight back
> against this out of control Obama budget scheme.
>
> With your PriorityGram, and your contribution of $250, $100 or $50,
> Campaign for Liberty will mobilize millions more Americans to our
> cause and to this battle.
>
> You and I will start a nationwide grassroots WILDFIRE opposing this
> out of control expansion of our government, and we’ll show the
> politicians in both parties we mean business.
>
> So please, submit your PriorityGram today. And please give what you
> can – $250, $100 or $50 – to help Ron Paul’s Campaign for Liberty beat
> back the socialist Obama forces.
>
> For Liberty,
>
> John F. Tate
> President
>
> P.S. Barack Obama and his big spending allies in Congress are
> determined to ram through their 3.6 TRILLION dollar budget, with a
> massive 33% increase in government spending and increased attacks on
> our freedom.

More FuzzNews

FuzzNews 10 Oct. 08
Conformity is the jailer of freedom and the enemy of growth." JFK
What is government for? Why did we invent it in the first place?

Tribal Chiefs and council members were chosen for their wisdom and fairness. That, and their ability to rally the men to keep peace. There was no need for a standing army. Whoever was there was expected to deal with the problem or call for help.
Content people tend to make babies. Soon they're bumping into each other and pushing for more room. Attacking weaker tribes brings relief for awhile. The tribes accumulate, and the beginnings of empire... farther and farther away from tribal land. They're more geared for defense now, with no patience for discord.
Now the Tribal Fathers order the people. Now the tribal Fathers aren't chosen, they choose themselves.
Small groups of people break off and travel far away to make their own tribes. They what so much to be free; they diligently make a list of things their new tribal government may and may not do.
They know from experience that government is like fire, useful when watched carefully but dangerous when left unattended. They return to wise council and mutual respect. They don't interfere with each other. The Council helps settle misunderstandings.
The tribe grows and prospers. They trade with each other and even with other tribes. Soon everyone has all they can eat, air conditioned tepees and parents who protect their children from the realities of life.
Soon there is so much wealth that future generations don't know where it came from. The council creates and runs its own schools. Soon children come out dumber then they went in. They grew to adulthood and have no history of their past. They support candidates who promise them free things...taken from other members of the tribe. .....humping away; making more dependent unskilled children. Soon they're bumping into each other again...
Some of them break off and began their own tribes....

FuzzNews 9 Oct 08
Yessssireee, folks, I'm proud at last to be an American again... fifty percent of you said NO to the bail out. The other fifty said HELL NO. I'm stealing material here from another news letter... ahhh hell, I'll just patch in the news letter.

http://www.newswithviews.com/Stang/alan167.htm

Okay, he's a little over the top but as FuzzNews continues to show, we're under attack by our own government. Again, I point out that these problems aren't caused by greedy little men on the outside, its greedy little men on the inside (of government) who are selling us down the river. As nasty as the loan industry is now being shown to be, stand back and look at the big picture...didn't we have a war or three going on? Don't their numbers dwarf this nickel dime deal of a bail out? What we have here is a classic shell game. We're following the savings and loan and the bean is somewhere overseas. The money problem is in the many times Bush said, "I'm sending 200 billion here and 130 billion there and rebuilding this or that country. How about sticking our most sacred parts into that tar baby called Georgia? Heard about it lately since the elections been on? No...We haven't. I'm going to assume you follow the link above but in case you don't, Our Government just sent a message to us...They said they don't care if 300 to 1 of us doesn't want the bail out. They said they'd do it anyway. Run into the bathroom real quick....go ahead, I'll wait...did you look in the mirror? Did the face there look represented to you? We've lost it....it's gone....unless we stay awake long enough to kick these criminals out of the white house. Yeah, probably 90 % of them.

It's getting harder to write these things without offending someone. Most of you don't want either McCain or Obama but a large percent will vote for McCain out of fear Obama will win and vise a versa. Look, if we're in the middle of a gang war between the Breed and the Hells Angels, would we pick one over the other because they seemed a bit more sensitive or they promised you free shit stolen from your neighbors? Real modern day heroes are risking everything to give you a choice. Please don't get all wet and vote for the better of two evils. This is a declared revolution....declared by the enemy. They had to wake us up to do it.

Do you want to help? Really help? Send money here:
http://rtrmoneybomb.chipin.com/liberty-council-08

and/or here:
http://www.campaignforliberty.com/

Twenty five bucks, fifty bucks, anything you can... read their stuff and remember you're not alone....we voted when we said no to the bailout 300 to 1, that's how strong we are.
Blow up your TV, throw away your papers... See below...
Uh, Gee Pester Fuzz, would you send me a reading list and accept me into your Church of Eternal Vigilance?

Why yauss, you sweet petunia, just ask me and I will show you the way....
Glory be brothers and sisters, rejoice and behold, we are free again! Dr. Fuzz

FuzzNews 28 Oct. 08 The Amero

Not much to say. Believe it or not...again, if our economy was booming; if we had unrestricted free trade, the fridge was full and junior was studying to be an Astronaut, I'd say this video was bullshit. But sadly, I am not.

This was sent to me by a friend in Mexico. He's worried, too. In fact, on a different subject, people down there are dying by the thousands to keep drugs out of the states. They don't understand what's wrong with us. Why don't we legalize it and stop the scumbags from getting rich? I saw two deaths in two countries on my last bike ride up there...both I'm certain, from that stupid drug war that keeps that poison moving north. Meanwhile we tell Mexican jokes and blame them for wanting to work in a place others don't. Their culture is every bit as interesting as ours. We should have more respect. Lines are being drawn between Democrats and Republicans as if one sort of greed and small mindedness were somehow better than the other. Have we so completely forgotten where we've come from?

We are the sons and daughters of men who made us Free. With the signing of our Declaration of Independence and rules set forth in our Constitution....limiting this thoroughly beaten and carefully guarded monster; Government, we did something unique in all of history. We declared ourselves free to do what we wanted with our money, our lives and demanded the right to believe in whatever God we chose.

Reams of papers and books document the erosion of our rights by government, especially Abraham Lincoln under the guise of freeing the slaves. He set the stage by consolidating central power in Washington. This consolidation became each president's prerogative to improve upon. Tariffs, Taxes, laws and controls created aggressive forces in a previously peaceful trade between states and other nations. In 1913 the Federal Reserve was established thanks to that loon, Woodrow Wilson. Later, FDR took us off the gold standard to "fix" problems already created by government meddling in the market place. Thus, we began our slippery slide into socialism. Inflation surfaced as a real problem. Slippery indeed, as Slippery Dick (1971) took us that last little bit off gold so that now the dollar was supported by thin air and Arabs insisted on more of our increasingly worthless paper....for a gallon of gas.

And now here we are today. "Capitalism" failing as predicted by every Communist die-hard. Sad to say, we've been a mercantile economy since old dishonest Abe got involved. [read, "The Real Lincoln", Thomas J. DiLorenzo, Three Rivers Press] A true free economy doesn't boom and bust. Instead, the bumps are numerous and small. The advice of Benjamin Franklyn..."a penny saved is a penny earned" is an example of the accumulation of Capital to say, open a foundry or dry goods store....all the way to building a railroad, (the Great North West was privately funded and made money. Instead of killing Indians, they paid them for their land). Solid money...gold and silver...the price of a loaf of bread cost the same for a hundred years!

I just want to point out that we came from good stock. We've just lost control of our government. Very clever of them to go after the money while we were busy making it and enjoying the fruits of it. The Congress we have now is not at all the Congress we enjoyed before Lincoln. Sure, they drank and whored and played hard but they understood their responsibility to us, their employers, and took it seriously.

All that's gone now. Whether you believe in the video I sent about the "Amero" or not; even if you believe one of the men now standing before you is the man you want for president, a page has turned.

The Hitler’s of the world got people to follow through pride. As we shock and awe villagers in mud huts, those amongst us who never accomplished anything can now be "better" and prideful at being American. LOOK at the power we gave the president to hunt down less than a hundred people. This hubris will cost us now. Now we will pay the bills of pride and sleepyheadedness. This is not "I told you so" or "we have it coming-ism", it's just a fact and we need to face it so we can move on.

So before we squabble like children over whose fault it was, Blacks against Whites, Conservatives against Liberals....please remember who we are. We're the children of a Free and very Special Country. Please let's not fight amongst ourselves. It's what "they" want. Remember the boy or girl who whispered about you and me? Remember how we stomped and postured and fought each other while the jealous one with no imagination or skills watched smugly, eating mama's cookies? That thread runs straight and true, right into the heads of government...All of it. Every Bureaucrat, politician and state approved religious icon. They print the money...and blame us, the victims, for inflation. They create a black market in drugs and blame those who profit from it. They turn us against each other by taking from some and giving to others. They depend on our anger to keep us from looking up...up at the puppeteer. The puppeteer who pulls the strings of presidents. Don't be a puppet, don't vote for a puppet. When you're wondering why six million Jews didn't fight back...run into the bathroom and look in the mirror. I knew you'd be surprised...

Please let's not fight each other Brothers and Sisters. Let's all apologize for our faults and our pride and our intentional misinterpretations. Let's remember we're all God's Children and that it doesn’t' matter if God is outside of us or even if we; ourselves are God inside of us. In the end, We're all Americans. We're not Constitutional criminals, "They" are. We? We're the People....and we're all one.

We are all one.
We are all one.
We are all one.
We are all one,
We are all one
We are all one.
We are all one.......all God's children, all brothers and sisters, all one...all Americans. Amen.

FuzzNews 5 Nov. 08 After Election Hangover
Nothing worse than a hangover and no funny stories to tell. This is one of those mornings....so bad, I didn't finish this before work got in the way.
Now a few days after, 7 Nov. 08
One thing seems certain, people don't want that stupid war ('s) anymore. It's the only thing I can think of for such a landslide to someone so completely unqualified and heading in the wrong direction to fix our economy.
Would I have preferred McCain? Not really. I'm sick of the war and the spending as much as anyone. The only shot we had was when Ron Paul ran for president. Don't feel bad, we did what we could. Who would believe the media'd so completely squash the truth? Who'da thunk the Republican Party was so bought that they'd stack the cards against not only themselves, but our last chance for reasonable and responsible government?
I see it as a good thing that Obama and a democratic congress will once and for all demonstrate, once again, the evil result of collectivism.
I'm not sure any of you read Ayn Rand's (the founder of the Libertarian movement) "Atlas Shrugged", but the main thrust of the story is that the producers of wealth decided to accelerate the logical trend towards socialism by pulling their wealth and brilliance out of the market place. Here is a quote from one of Rand's fictional characters....
"The Moral Meaning of Capitalism”
This is a statement made by Hank Rearden at his trial for an illegal sale of a metal alloy which he had created and which has been placed under government rationing and control."
“I do not want my attitude to be misunderstood. I shall be glad to state it for the record...I work for nothing but my own profit...which I make by selling a product they [the people] need to men who are willing and able to buy it. I do not produce it for their benefit at the expense of mine, and they do not buy it for my benefit at the expense of theirs; I do not sacrifice my interests to them nor do they sacrifice theirs to me; we deal as equals by mutual consent to mutual advantage...and I am proud of every penny that I have earned in this manner. I am rich and I am proud of every penny I own. I have made my money by my own effort, in the free exchange and through the voluntary consent of every man I dealt with...the voluntary consent of those who employed me when I started, the voluntary consent of those who work for me now, and the voluntary consent of those who buy my product. I shall answer all the questions you are afraid to ask me openly. Do I wish to pay my workers more than their services are worth to me? I do not. Do I wish to sell my product for less than my customers are willing to pay me? I do not. Do I wish to sell it at a loss or give it away? I do not. If this is evil, do whatever you please about me, according to whatever standards you hold. These are mine. I am earning my own living, as every honest man must. I refuse to accept as guilt the fact of my own existence and the fact that I must work in order to support it. I refuse to accept as guilt the fact that I am able to do it and to do it well. I refuse to accept as guilt the fact that I am able to do it better than most people...the fact that my work is of greater value than the work of my neighbors and that more men are willing to pay me. I refuse to apologize for my ability...I refuse to apologize for my success...I refuse to apologize for my money. If this is evil, make the most of it. If this is what the public finds harmful to its interests let the public destroy me. This is my code...and I will accept no other. I could say to you that have done more good for my fellow man than you can ever hope to accomplish...but I will not say it, because I do not seek the good of others as a sanction for my right to exist, nor do I recognize the good of others as a justification for their seizure of my property or their destruction of my life. I will not say that the good of others was the purpose of my work...my own good was my purpose, and I despise the man who surrenders his. I could say to you that you do not serve the public good...that nobodies good can be achieved at the price of human sacrifices...that when you violate the rights of one man, you have violated the rights of all, and a public of right-less creatures is doomed to destruction. I could say to you that you will and can achieve nothing but universal devastation...as any looter must, when he runs out of victims. I could say it, but I won't. It is not your particular policy that I challenge, but your moral premise. If it were true that men could achieve their good my means of turning some men into sacrificial animals and I were asked to immolate myself for the sake of creatures you wanted to survive at the price of my blood, if I were asked to serve the interests of society apart from, above and against my own...I would refuse, I would reject it as the most contemptible evil, I would fight it with every power I possess, I would fight the whole of mankind, if one minute were all I could last before I were murdered, I would fight in the full confidence of the justice of my battle and of a living being's right to exist. Let there be no misunderstanding about me. If it is now the belief of my fellow men, who call themselves the public, that their good requires victims, then I say: the public good be damned, I will have Part of it!"

For those people who actually chose Obama, I'm happy for your win, it takes us closer to that time when we'll be fully awake, searching for that Golden Goose....and maybe a bite to eat...
For those who wanted McCain and lost, be happy you'll not be responsible for what he would have done. He was only paying lip service to the constitution. He still believed in Empire and he still wanted to tug at the strings of our lives as if they were his own.
The first revolution begins in your heart. Who knows how better to lead your life then you do? Literacy was in the high 90% range before this time. It's never been higher since. Please read John Gattos, "Dumbing Us Down" for a revealing look at todays's educational system by a "teacher of the year award member of New York City".
How can a "government school" maintain a separation of church and state venue without tripping itself up? Well, it can't.

Darell Scott was only dealing with the first travesty of the law, guns, because that's what killed his daughter, but knives, swards and clubs did a good enough job in the past. In fact, there was sward control long before guns were invented.
Schools are the holy grail of today’s society. They're big enough and sacred enough that its cost can cripple a small community. Large one's too, as they ask for more and more Federal help. Government doesn't give it up for nothing...they decide who's books will be used to teach history, civics and social-(ism) studies. By the time government is done with a student, he or she has no idea who their forefathers were, anything at all about economics and absolutely nothing about the cause and effects of a free society. They're fed answers for questions they can't conceive of and asked questions they couldn't possibly have answers for. The real test is to see if the school can pass local and federal governments "strict" requirements. Then if the teachers can pass the schools tests and finally the student is tested with pablum and a blind eye so he can't help but get good grades ...So they all pass. Everybody wins except a student who might really want to be somebody.

Take an intelligent student grazing amongst the herd. Never mind every time he or she blinks, a shutter closes in the mind...and it's a sexually explicit shot (waddia, nuts?)...they're smart enough to know everything about the school and teachers are bullshit. Whole caravans of trucks and cars stop on a two line highway so they can cross the street without being run over. The school nurse, doctor or "counselor" has them on drugs that not only aren't fun, they don't work! In fact, this whole twisted system doesn't work and since the teachers were taught this way and their teachers were taught that way...no one knows how utterly cool and rewarding the simple act of learning can be...how good a student feels when discovery takes place.
Hey, if you are a member of the Gay Nazi's for Peace, send your kid to one their schools. YOU'RE the one responsible for them and their education.

If you want them to go to school at all, it's up to you. What? Got an ego problem or no money? General Motors will be happy to teach the kid if he'll work for them awhile. Having a problem with real life there Bunkie? Say you want someone who has no kids to pay for your baby sitter? Well then pack up your bags and catch a boat to Cuba. They understand your problem...leave the kid here, he'll make it without you...and don't be surprised if he gets a little crazy and starts shooting up the place.

>DARRELL SCOTT TESTIMONY
>Guess our national leaders didn't expect this, hmm? On Thursday, Darrell
>Scott, the father of Rachel Scott, a victim of the Columbine High School
>shootings in Littleton, Colorado, was invited to address the House
>Judiciary Committee's subcommittee What he said to our national leaders
>during this special session of Congress was painfully truthful. They were
>not prepared for what he was to say, nor was it received well. It needs to
>be heard by every parent, every teacher, every politician, every
>sociologist, every psychologist, and every so-called expert! These
>courageous words spoken by Darrell Scott are powerful, penetrating, and
>deeply personal. There is no doubt that God sent this man as a voice crying
>in the wilderness. The following is a portion of the transcript:
>
>"Since the dawn of creation there has been both good &evil in the hearts of
>men and women. We all contain the seeds of kindness or the seeds of
>violence. The death of my wonderful daughter, Rachel Joy Scott, and the
>deaths of that heroic teacher, and the other eleven children who died must
>not be in vain. Their blood cries out for answers.
>
>"The first recorded act of violence was when Cain slew his brother Abel out
>in the field. The villain was not the club he used.. Neither was it the
>NCA, the National Club Association. The true killer was Cain, and the
>reason for the murder could only be found in Cain's heart.
>"In the days that followed the Columbine tragedy, I was amazed at how
>quickly fingers began to be pointed at groups such as the NRA. I am not a
>member of the NRA. I am not a hunter. I do not even own a gun. I am not
>here to represent or defend the NRA - because I don't believe that they are
>responsible for my daughter's death. Therefore I do not believe that they
>need to be defended. If I believed they had anything to do with Rachel's
>murder I would be their strongest opponent.
>I am here today to declare that Columbine was not just a tragedy-it was a
>spiritual event that should be forcing us to look at where the real blame
>lies! Much of the blame lies here in this room. Much of the blame lies
>behind the pointing fingers of the accusers themselves. "I wrote a poem
>just four nights ago that expresses my feelings best. This was written way
>before I knew I would be speaking here today:

>Your laws ignore our deepest needs,
>Your words are empty air.
>You've stripped away our heritage,
>You've outlawed simple prayer.
>Now gunshots fill our classrooms,
>And precious children die.
>You seek for answers everywhere,
>And ask the question "Why?"
>You regulate restrictive laws,
>Through legislative creed.
>And yet you fail to understand,
>That God is what we need!
>
>"Men and women are three-part beings. We all consist of body, soul, and
>spirit. When we refuse to acknowledge a third part of our make-up, we
>create a void that allows evil, prejudice, and hatred to rush in and reek
>havoc Spiritual presences were present within our educational systems for
>most of our nation's history. Many of our major colleges began as
>theological seminaries. This is a historical fact. What has happened to us
>as a nation? We have refused to honor God, and in so doing, we open the
>doors to hatred and violence. And when something as terrible as Columbine's
>tragedy occurs -- politicians immediately look for a scapegoat such as the
>NRA. They immediately seek to pass more restrictive laws that contribute to
>erode away our personal and private liberties. We do not need more
>restrictive laws. "Eric and Dylan would not have been stopped by metal
>detectors No amount of gun laws can stop someone who spends months planning
>this type of massacre. The real vi llain lies within our own hearts.
>"As my son Craig lay under that table in the school library and saw his two
>friends murdered before his very eyes-He did not hesitate to pray in
>school. I defy any law or politician to deny him that right! I challenge
>every young person in America, and around the world, to realize that on
>April 20, 1999, at Columbine High School prayer was brought back to our
>schools. Do not let the many prayers offered by those students be in vain.
>Dare to move into the new millennium with a sacred disregard for
>legislation that violates your God-given right to communicate with Him. To
>those of you who would point your finger at the NRA - I give to you a
>sincere challenge. Dare to examine your own heart before casting the first
>stone!
>My daughter's death will not be in vain! The young people of this country
>will not allow that to happen!"
>
>Do what the media did not - - let the nation hear this man's speech. Below is a bit of Old Testament. It's not an attempt to change the way you see God; rather, it's an attempt to change the way you see government....get down and praise the Lord.
Says the Old Testament:
The elders of Israel came to Samuel and said unto him, 'Now make us a king to judge us like all the other nations."

And Samuel answered with the words of the Lord, saying, "This will be the manner of the king that would reign over you:

He will take your sons and make them his charioteers. He will set them to reap his harvest and make his instruments of war. He will take your daughters to be cooks.

And he will take your fields and your vineyards and give them to his supporters. He will take a tenth of your produce and give it to his staff. He will take the tenth of your sheep: and you shall be his servants. And you shall cry out in that day because of your king which you shall have chosen." I Samuel 4-20

The Israelites had lived and prospered for centuries without a State. So be careful what you ask for...
This isn't an argument for Anarchy, though it's a good one; rather it's a chance to reflect on the danger of government and come to an agreement as to what its proper job is. You will see why the media swept it under the rug with no
> further ado, who & why of a certain element is pissed off at Tiger.
>
> Below is the text of his speech, entitled:
>
> "You'll Never Walk Alone," as posted on his Web site:
>
> "I grew up in a military family - and my role models in life were my Mom and Dad, Lt. Colonel Earl Woods. My dad was a Special Forces operator and many nights friends would visit our home. They represented every branch of the service, and every rank.
"In my Dad, and in those guests, I saw first hand the dedication and commitment of those who serve. They come from every walk of life. From every part of our country. Time and again, across generations, they have defended our safety in the dark of night and far from home.
"Each day -- and particularly on this historic day -- we honor the men and women in uniform who serve our country and protect our freedom. They travel to the dangerous corners of the world, and we must remember that for every person who is in uniform, there are families who wait for them to come home safely.
"I am honored that the military is such an important part, not just of my personal life, but of my professional one as well. The golf tournament we do each year here in Washington is a testament to those unsung heroes.
"I am the son of a man who dedicated his life to his country, family and the military, and I am a better person for it.
"In the summer of 1864, Abraham Lincoln, the man at whose memorial we stand, spoke to the 164th Ohio Regiment and said: 'I am greatly obliged to you, and to all who have come forward at the call of their country.'
"Just as they have stood tall for our country - we must always stand by and support the men and women in uniform and their families.
"Thank you, and it is now my pleasure to introduce the US Naval Glee Club."

I have never been more proud of Tiger Woods than when I heard his 2-minute tribute to the military at the Inaugural Celebration in Washington DC. You know he was greatly pressured to be there. Liberals have been mad at him for a decade for not joining their ranks. You know he didn't want to be there. So instead of paying homage to Obama, he paid tribute to our soldiers. Not one time did Tiger mention Obama, the inauguration or the new administration. He knew beforehand that his love for America, and appreciation for our military men & women would anger them further. But Tiger is his own man; his father taught him to be his own man.
Somewhere over that cold, gray Washington sky, old Earl Woods was smiling down on his beloved son. And there will be one more crying hug waiting for Tiger when he passes through the Pearly Gates into God's arms.

PASS IT ON: Draft Tiger for Congress!

Amona turn this into a Fuzz Moment...wait....

Yeah, now I know why I admire him so. He's got that bearing about him. I was an Air Force Brat and later did my own time. On the one hand, I recognize this wonderful man. My Step Dad was in the 101st in world war II and then went to Korea and fought the Chinese in the '50s. He was a good looking man in uniform and kept us proud and well fed on sergeants pay. And we traveled. It was good and we developed a way of seeing things... Tiger has vision too, and metal in him. He's one of my hero's.

... on the other hand, president for a Hollywood day, I would pull us all back to the States and build an army of civilians like our forefathers envisioned...."the militia"... very much like Switzerland. There, every man HAS to go for training and spend something like a year becoming good at his job. In the meantime, his equipment's right there in his closet...automatic weapon, boots, uniform and blow up doll. No more standing army. No need to keep a standing army "busy". The country becomes self defending. No one hates Switzerland because she isn't in Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran and over a hundred other countries causing trouble.

The most effective method of fighting government is to not recognize its authority over you... They're just a bunch of folks who have nothing better to do.... You know...we need to stop paying them so much: it inflates their egos and cost of living so much they need to steal to keep up. Let's turn our backs on them....best we can without getting shot. Be careful, they've become as dangerous as Hitler’s Brown Shirts and Gestapo.

Soon military men will turn away from them, too. Spoiled, mean, stupid presidents and congressmen put us in harm's way all the time and a good solder will not turn away from his country in need....so the game continues...a president goes to a shit hole and throws a rock right into the worst beehive in the country. The military rush to defend him and his excuses... and find themselves mired in another Tar Baby. War wasn't even declared. How do you break the cycle.....

Stop the money supply....taxes and the hidden tax of inflation. Stop the Fed at all costs. Tyrants will wilt on the vine. Like drugs, prostitution and gambling, take the money out and pretty soon politicians will return to where they came from....petty theft and whiney con games.

As you can see...the inauguration is still a non-issue. Turn away from bullies, charlatans and charismatic buffoons....

In fact; to hell with them.... I thought I'd just elaborate some on this.

Remember the hit in the Godfather where the guy walks into a crowd of cops around a mark and shoots him dead? The shooter was smiling the whole time. That's how he got so close. Our mama's taught us to look into a persons eyes. The street taught us to watch his hands.... A civilian walking down the street is usually thinking about how he is perceived by others or making that last payment on his motorcycle. When a street thug comes up quickly smiling and talking about something silly, Bamm! Mr. Citizen never knew what hit him till he's robbed and bleeding. Gone is the money and with it his self esteem.

I've been thinking lately that I've been right all along and I'm not paranoid after all....
Obami and Bush before him were and are on a mandate to destroy the economy of the US and the world. This isn't
about stupid or "misinformed" presidents ......They are doing their very best to destroy our money system and at the same time sooth us into believing they got some kind of rabbit in the hat. By now most smart people know something's up but feel alone and frustrated with main stream news.
Come on...no one really believes in the Easter Bunny...or that there's a rabbit or a hat big enough to save the wealth of the world. Move it to another location....yes...from us to them, no problem… but we can forget about any good coming from the US government until it's taken back by "the
people".

Notice this rush to involve all the banks of the world? Do you think this is a good idea? Uniformly draining the wealth and putting it into the hands of the banking world and those governments who participate. Those who don't ....soon will...

If we continue to point and act like we can't believe what we're seeing....well, we're just as guilty as Bush was standing in that classroom and not accepting what he was plainly being told....WE'RE UNDER ATTACK!

FuzzNews 26 March, 09 We're not alone anymore....
On this last trip to Honduras, we met some Brits. This old geezer is still fighting for you in congress. What have you done in your whole life to contribute to freedom that he doesn't do every day? Good question, but I just thought I'd send you a moment in the life of Ron Paul that never makes the press. Be humbled by this man. He is the real deal and it may take centuries for him to be recognized. Fuzz
Yesterday, Rep. Ron Paul voted against a resolution praising the 30th anniversary of the Israel-Egypt Camp David treaty.
He rose to explain why:
Mr. Speaker: I rise in reluctant opposition to this resolution. I do so not because I oppose our recognizing peace as preferable to, and more productive than, war. On the contrary, too seldom do we celebrate and encourage the end of violence and warfare on this Floor so I welcome any such endorsement of peace in international relations. However, I cannot agree with the final “resolved” clause of this resolution, which states that:
“… the House of Representatives calls for recognition of the peace treaty between Egypt and Israel as a model mechanism upon which partner nations may build to overcome longstanding barriers to peace and effective mutual cooperation.”
What the resolution fails to mention, and the reason we should not endorse the treaty as a model, is that at the time the peace was being negotiated at Camp David the United States committed itself to an enormous financial aid package to both Egypt and Israel in exchange for their accession to the treaty. Over the past thirty years, the United States taxpayer has transferred to – some might say “bribed” – Israel and Egypt well over 100 billion dollars as a payoff for their leaders’ signature on the treaty. Particularly in this time of economic hardship, where so many Americans are out of work and facing great financial challenges, I hardly believe we should be celebrating that which increases the strain on taxpayers. I believe we should cease all foreign aid to all countries, as it is a counterproductive and unconstitutional transfer of wealth from US taxpayers to governments overseas.
I do believe we should, where possible and without meddling, encourage nations and regions at war or in conflict to work toward peace. But I also believe we should lead by example: that we should demonstrate by our actions the benefits of friendly relations and trade with all nations which seek the same. I strongly oppose the idea that we should bribe the rest of the world to do what we demand. Therefore, while I celebrate the achievement of peace between Egypt and Israel, I do not believe this “model” to be productive or in the best interests of the United States. I urge my colleagues to reject this resolution.
________________________________________
FuzzNews 4 April 09

I was going over some old issues of FuzzNews and came upon this. The author of this part of the bill, former senator and tax evader, Tom Daschle was credited today by Bloomberg with the following statement.

Bloomberg: "Daschle says health-care reform will not be pain free. Seniors should be more accepting of the conditions that come with age instead of treating them."

If this does not sufficiently raise your ire, just remember that Senators and Congressmen have their own health care plan that is first dollar or very low co-pay which they are guaranteed the remainder of their lives and are not subject to this new law if it passes.

Please use the power of the internet to get this message out. Franklyn D. took us off the
> gold standard, created government projects and the welfare
> state. He's been created for having stopped the depression but that
> was more from a wartime economy kicking into high gear. In fact,
> his dabbling in Keynesian economics caused the depression to last
> longer than it had to.

For Obami, this is not so much a change as kicking in an
afterburner....racing to the bottom where lies destitution and hunger
for us and serfdom for our kids. Strong words but now, at warp speed,
one can almost see the ground coming up at him. Hard to believe Obami
is even on our side.
> Surely, if he was out to get us...what would he do different?
>
> For those who have a hard time grasping things like gravity and basic
> household economics....I'll try to explain in a way you might understand. How the money supply is in relation to the value of a dollar.

BERNIE AND THE BLOW UP DOLL

> Bernie's been waiting for weeks, and now UPS has brought him his lonely little love doll "Tina". The wife gone shopping, he plugs in the handy electric pump and watches Tina fill out in all the right places. Bernie sets the lights, un-plugs the pump, undresses slowly while washing down a Viagra and the last of that whiskey sour.... [For you Kiddies, I'll leave what happens next, to your imagination....] just let's say in the heat of it all, one of Tina's nipples gets a tear. Never the less, she's put on a couple wrinkles but still has a young heart. Bernie reaches over and plugs in her little pump. Soon the winkles disappear and Tina is young again...perky even... Afraid she'll burst, Bernie flicks off the pump. In that moment, one could say, Bernie and Tina find peace in the Valley...

Later, Bernie comes awake and notices his Tina is old and wrinkled
under him and her once perky little thingies are now cold and flat.
This is fine with Bernie because he's tired. He begins to dismount
but notices Pedro is still very much under the influence of Viagra
Man. Well, his wife won't be home for at least four hours....he plugs
in the pump. Soon the lights are soft and Merle Haggard is on the box.
There's air once again, in Tina and love in Bernie's heart. Time
passes. They try different positions...Suddenly Tina is losing air
again, more than before....poor Bernie tore her ear in a moment of
passion. Quickly he turns the pump to faster....and for a time,
things stabilize.

More time passes as Bernie and Tina play with the pump and each other.
Bernie notices she's been taking more and more air, so with a final
thrust, he jams the pump to EMERGENCY HUMP PUMP. Now poor Tina is at
times hard and firm....and others soft and flabby. Bernie's losing
control with the tremendous amount of air she needs.......he almost
falls off at one point and bumps his knee on the floor... one could
say she was becoming unpredictable....the air tears and distorts and
takes more and more to keep her (and Bernie) up.

Now Tina's in her death throws and even the wild, heroic efforts of
Bernie ultimately fail.... at last, they lie....spent, as it were, on
that cold cellar floor. Lights dim to dusk as the curtain closes on
the great drama of Tina, Bernie and the Fed.

Okay Children, time for a quiz.

What is the air in Tina? Yes, Daphne, the air represents money...or,
printed paper that "says" it's money. Also remember, inside Tina,
these few square feet of air have value. Once it's gone, it's like
sand on the beach....or a buck in a multi-trillion dollar deficit.

What else is in Tina? Yes, Joey, that's right, Bernie is in Tina!
Bernie acts like Chairman Ben S. Bernanke at the Fed, but regulates
the air supply instead of the money supply. Bernie does to Tina what
Ben does to the economy (and the American People).

Who is Tina?..... Jose? That's right, she represents the market.
When things are good, Tina is firm, but soft enough to take a licking
and keep smiling.

Class, what happens if Tina pops a leak? Carlos? No, leaking
air...correct, it takes more air to keep her inflated. In the world
of money, they call this inflation, too.

Rufus, what is hyper inflation and can you write it on the black
board? Yes!......Yes again, go to the head of the class! Hyper
inflation is when even Herculean amounts of air can't keep Tina full.

This is what happens when Obami dumps all those hundreds of billions
of dollars into a deflated and leaky economy.

Change? How about no money, no job, no food and nothing to say if you
know what's best for you.

What would Tina have said if she was real? "Pump me faster daddy, I'm
going down slow....?" ....or "fix that leak Papi, and we'll both have
a better time....."

Is it so wild an idea that we ask Jay Balls to fix the leaks before
pumping more money into thin air?

The wife? She's reality walking in the door with a bag full of nothing....

2) Second Question: Is Ron Paul right? Yes, don't be stupid....read
your Constitution. Yes, it's boring and has big words. If your life
depended on it could you get it down? Ron Paul is only the messenger
for a much larger and more distinguished group of men called our
forefathers. Even they had teachers going back some six hundred
years... That we become self governing was not some great idea one
man thought of on Jay Leno.....Certainly not some jerk who claims
overnight to have a better idea and call it change. Please, brothers
and sisters, let's get real here... let's stop deluding
ourselves....fix the leaks, demand our Constitution back and don't
take no for an answer. Fuzz

> > Ron Paul: Neoconservatives backing Obama's foreign policy
> >
> > Art credit: Sexy Propaganda
> >
> > In a little noticed editorial yesterday, Texas Republican Congressman Ron
> > Paul fired a shot across the bow of every progressive activist in the U.S.,
> > a great many of whom are supporters of President Barack Obama.
> >
> > Oh, you didn't hear about this? I couldn't be any less surprised.
> >
> > Published to the Campaign for Liberty Web site, the editorial takes up a
> > favored issue for liberty-leaning Republicans: the Budget. Congressman
> > Paul's message on money is quite unlike any of his Republican colleagues and
> > quite the opposite of the Obama administration's. Naturally, he predicts
> > unprecedented spending will trigger dire consequences.
> >
> > But that's nothing exactly new from Paul, per se. What caught my eye was
> > paragraph three, which reads:
> >
> > Some may notice that the neo-conservatives who masterminded the policy of
> > global interventions are not complaining about the level of military and
> > foreign spending. This is because rather than drawing down our costly
> > interventions, Obama is largely staying the course on these issues. In fact,
> > this week a group of leading neoconservatives met to discuss how best to
> > support the President on foreign policy! I am disappointed and concerned
> > that, in spite of a change in leadership, we will remain the policeman of
> > the world, placing ourselves at grave danger in many ways.
> >
> > Paul, who has always struck me as one of the few genuine, honest politicians
> > out there, has a gigantic following. In a sense, he represents many, many
> > more people than just members of his district. He's like the Republican
> > Dennis Kucinich, calling for a return to principles and his party's original
> > grand ideas.
> >
> > And he's got a lot of friends on the Left: people who otherwise
> > fundamentally disagree with Libertarian philosophies of governing, but
> > nonetheless recognize the obvious truths littered throughout his every
> > speech. For crying out loud, HBO's most favored liberal, none other than
> > Bill Maher, absolutely loves the guy. And from what I've gathered in my time
> > as an associate editor for Raw Story, so do many of you guys.
> >
> > Now, it's your turn to sound off. I want to hear it from you on two points
> 1.) Does Obama really represent change? And... 2.) Is Ron Paul right?
</ahref=">

FuzzNews 24

FuzzNews 24

"Excuse me sir, your fly is open." In certain Latin American countries they say, "La cantina es abierta y el borracho es afuera", or "The bar is open and the drunk is out". Either way, how do you say that to a stranger? What if he's from a different culture and you might embarrass him...or worse, yourself? I don't know about you but in the end, I usually find a way to tell him...

"Excuse me sir, your country's fly is open and the chard embers of "the beginning of the end" are now cold. Now we are nearing the end of the end. How many times have we fallen asleep at the wheel and had to fight to open our eyes and stop the dream? If you're reading this and drive, you know the feeling...and know, too, the force of will it takes to save yourself. Do it again.. wake up...and save our nation. Consider this:

http://eldib.wordpress.com/2008/02/04/us-crashes-internet-in-middle-east-after-saudi-threat-russia-responds-with-air-forces/

As we witness this fierce checker match between two mud wrestlers running for the presidency of the United States ... as we stand on one side or the other and root for our team...aren't any of us having moments of doubt? Could our adversaries be playing chess instead? Do we really trust this trailer court mentality that push our pieces from one side of the board to the other? What's so important on the other side of the board? What do these candidates really want? Who are they working for? Not us, that's for sure. What's waiting for our candidates in the end except approval from the arospace industry and a pat on the head from those "One Worlders" (theirs)? Surely these people don't need the money... what do we need 'em for anyway?

Consider this:
http://www.nytimes.com/2008/08/13/technology/13cyber.html?_r=1&oref=slogin&pagewanted=all

We're stuck in this tar baby now and the people who got us in; won't get us out. The only way out is back, and carefully. Ask Ignots or Goomblots what they plan, and they will huddle with their "experts" and come up with the answer they think you want to hear....ya ya ya....go back to sleep little boy, everything's all right...

If we really want Peace, Prosperity and Freedom, somehow we need to convince the rest of the world that we have taken control of our maverick government and are in the process of putting it right. Somehow We need to say..."IT'S OKAY, WE GOT IT AND ARE TAKING CARE OF IT". WE, the PEOPLE got it. Yes, the drunk is out and we've been standing on our collective dick but WE GOT IT NOW, thanks for telling us.

Yes, Dr. Fuzz, but we're only tiny little people with no eduktion and da goberment is big and hairy and breaths fire...

Thomas Jefferson would be beside himself if he could see this mess. He liked to tell people our second amendment was to keep government in line. He joyfully expected us to knock some bad apples off now and then. Our forefathers gave us the tools to defend ourselves. I'm not suggesting you shoot a senator or congressman for God and Country but they ought to more afraid of us then they are. Government has herded us with force or the threat of force all our lives...why shouldn't the reverse be true? Fuzz, for now, with his pants zipped

FuzzNews 27

FuzzNews 27

GOOD NEWS!!!!!

Economy going down the tubes? Gonna have a war with Russia? Is your preparation H prescription past it's "safe use" date? That what's bothering you Bunkey? Well cheer up and catch some wind in your hair, friends of freedom! Yes, it's time to relax and breath deep yoga breaths and groke the day. If we go into a revolution all tight and stuff....finger nails narvled and bit.... we've already lost.

Most people agree, a motivated ten percent can move a lot of cattle. Truth rings. It's possible to miss it's absence for a generation or two, but when it's ringing, well, folks are going to hear it. That's what's happening now, and no matter how the Washington Post, CNN or the New York times tries to ignore it, it's going to ring. Young people are beginning to recognize this old and forgotten truth of freedom, and are rising to it. Even Grandma Moses knew a cow when she saw it.

So...if there are 300 million north Americans, that means it only takes 30 million to direct the herd. The true vanguard or the revolution was ten miles from the Republican Convention last week. Some twelve thousand people were there to hear Ron Paul, Jessie Ventura and three days of music and workshops. For every person at the convention, 2500 knew about it or knew about the revolution. We're out of the closet! Celebrate and put on your dancing shoes because the party has begun.

Below is a piece to uplift you. Remember the monsters who lived under your bed when the lights went out....and you were afraid to move because they'd come alive and do unmentionable things? Don't be a cow. Wake up and come play with your friends. It's so much better with our eyes open....Fuzz

  <col width="231"> <col width="47"> <col width="33">

Ron Paul's "Rally for the Republic"

| Print |

E-mail

  <col width="661">

Written by Brian Farmer

Wednesday, 17 September 2008 15:59

To keep alive the debate and interest he generated for fiscally sound, constitutional governance, Ron Paul held a rally across town from the GOP nominating convention.

Texas Congressman Ron Paul lost his bid to be the Republican Party's candidate for president in 2008, but you wouldn't know it from the huge crowd that turned out at the Target Center in Minneapolis on Tuesday, September 2, for his Rally for the Republic. The program included a slate of speakers and musicians who kept the crowd enthused for nine hours. By the time Ron Paul spoke at 7:45 p.m., an estimated 12,000 people had packed into the arena to celebrate the culmination of his presidential campaign and the launch of the Campaign for Liberty.

Before the event got under way, Congressman Paul conducted a brief press conference in which he declared that the Rally for the Republic was being staged to celebrate the freedom movement and to satisfy the enthusiasm for its message. He also pointed out that it was being staged as a call to the Republican Party to return to its roots of limited government, personal responsibility, and protection of natural rights. Finally, the rally was also serving as the official kick-off for the Campaign for Liberty, an organization dedicated to defending and promoting the principles of individual liberty, constitutional government, sound money, free markets, and a non-interventionist foreign policy.

Paul then fielded a number of questions. One person asked where the country was headed. Paul responded that the country was headed for big trouble because all branches of government had lost sight of constitutional principles. Another questioner asked how Ron Paul's movement might detract from support for Republicans. Paul retorted that the freedom movement was more likely to detract from Obama because young people like his freedom message. Perhaps the most important inquiry was, "Where do you go from here?" Paul stated that he was not trying to start a third party but, rather, he was trying to gain more influence through the Campaign for Liberty, by means of education, grass-roots lobbying, and other forms of political activity.

Tucker Carlson, MSNBC's senior campaign correspondent, acted as master of ceremonies for the afternoon session. In opening the program, Carlson explained why he admired Ron Paul:

1. Congressman Paul is not interested in developing a cult of personality. He basically says, "I'm for freedom, adults disagree, and that's okay."

2. He's a nice guy and is kind to people around him.

3. Unlike most politicians, he has absolutely zero interest in controlling others.

The series of speakers criticized Republicans more than Democrats, which probably was a reflection of the frustration Ron Paul supporters feel over the cold shoulder Congressman Paul received from his own party during the primary campaign and during the national convention, which was taking place at the same time across the river in St. Paul. In order of appearance, the lineup included the following:

Howard Phillips: Phillips is the chairman of both the Conservative Caucus and the U.S. Taxpayers Alliance. He spoke on the importance of supporting such Ron Paul-sponsored legislation as that which would prevent illegal aliens from getting Social Security benefits, would get the United States out of the United Nations, and would abolish the Federal Reserve. He also encouraged listeners to contact the presidential debate moderators and encourage them to ask questions about the North American Union. He ended his talk with a quote from Thomas Jefferson to John Adams, which reflects the essential question that the Founders were trying to resolve, "whether man shall be allowed to govern himself or be ruled by a small elite."

Doug Wead: Wead is a presidential historian and New York Times bestselling author. Time magazine referred to him as the man who coined the phrase "compassionate conservative" in 1982. After a litany of jokes, he got serious and said that Ron Paul had spoken for him in the primary campaign debates, and concluded by reminding the audience that "America is the last refuge of liberty."

Thomas Woods: Dr. Woods is a senior fellow at the Ludwig von Mises Institute and author of the bestselling book The Politically Incorrect Guide to American History. He opened his remarks by referring to the GOP convention attendees as "those poor souls stuck at that snorefest down the street." The audience got another serving of "red meat" when Professor Woods described bipartisanship as the Stupid Party getting together with the Evil Party to do something both stupid and evil. He instructed the audience that the gold standard is the only fiscal system compatible with freedom and declared, "If you want to stop the war machine, you have to go after the money machine!"

Grover Norquist: Norquist is the president of Americans for Tax Reform and, surprisingly, a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. He stated that there are two fundamental political movements, one moving toward more freedom and the other toward more government. More government has to be funded by more taxes and Norquist warned the audience that Barack Obama's plan to increase the capital gains tax would serve to plunder all forms of retirement accounts and pension programs.

Lew Rockwell: Rockwell is the founder and president of the Ludwig von Mises Institute and editor of Lewrockwell.com. There was lots of "red meat" in this speech, as he launched into an attack on President Bush, declaring that Bush "deceived people into voting for him" and "hasn't done one decent thing for the country." He pointed out that Bush had campaigned on the promise of a "humble foreign policy" and described that phrase as "Orwellian," given what has actually transpired. He concluded by stating that William F. Buckley's brand of conservatism, including militarism and right-wing collectivism, has been fulfilled during the Bush administration.

Bill Kauffman: Kauffman is an award-winning author of eight books. He may not be a household name, but Kauffman was well received, as he dished up healthy portions of "red meat" which the pumped up audience obviously savored. In another attack on Republicans, he described John McCain as "looking through the atlas for more countries to bomb." He portrayed Ron Paul as being "from 1776," while those running the GOP were "from 1984" (referring to Orwell's book, not the Reagan administration!). He concluded by claiming that John Edwards was right when he said that there were two Americas, except that Kauffman described them as "the televised America, hated by the world, and the other America."

John McManus: McManus is the president of the John Birch Society, and was definitely the speaker who got in the most applause lines (other than Ron Paul himself, who spoke at least twice as long as everyone else). A bank of lights above the stage went on whenever a speaker delivered a line that was likely to fire up the audience, and illuminated the floor area of the arena, which served as a kind of mosh pit containing people enthusiastically waving "Rally for the Republic" signs. Those lights seemed to come on with almost every other statement that McManus made. His speech mixed humor with serious lessons on the U.S. Constitution taken from his widely distributed DVD, Overview of America. He also cited some of the numerous accomplishments of the John Birch Society, such as turning back the drive for a dangerous constitutional convention, and concluded by inviting everyone to the JBS 50th Anniversary Celebration, where Ron Paul will be the keynote speaker.

Bruce Fein: Fein is a legal expert with extensive national and international experience. Given his impressive credentials, it was not surprising that he gave the most intellectual address of the program. Far from losing his audience, however, he gave some great one-liners, such as, "Trying to bring democracy to Afghanistan makes as much sense as trying to get sunbeams from cucumbers!" He asserted that what Bush did in Iraq "is an impeachable constitutional offense." He concluded his remarks with a quote from Roman historian Tacitus, "The worst crimes were dared by few, willed by more, and tolerated by all."

Jesse Ventura: Ventura was governor of Minnesota for four years and is author of the recently released book Don't Start the Revolution Without Me! Given his background as a professional wrestler, it was expected that "The Body" would be tossing out big slabs of "red meat" and he did not disappoint. His biggest applause line came when he declared, "The Second Amendment exists so that if our government gets out of control, we will be able to change it!" Being a 9/11 conspiracy buff, he asked, "Why isn't Osama bin Laden credited for 9/11 on the FBI's terrorist list?" With his book obviously in mind, he yelled, "I'm here; let's get the revolution going!" and hinted that he might consider running for president in 2012.

John Tate: Tate is the executive director of the Campaign for Liberty (C4L). He narrated a video presentation expanding on what Ron Paul said during his press conference and on the ad that appeared in the Rally for the Republic magazine.

Gary Johnson: Johnson was a two-term Republican governor of New Mexico, a state that is two-to-one Democrat. He became nationally known for his fiscal conservatism, his support of a statewide voucher program, and his stand against the war on drugs. It wasn't surprising, then, that he talked about the nation's drug problem as the same kind of problem that we had with alcohol during Prohibition. He characterized it as a medical problem, not a criminal problem. He spent most of his talk describing some of the many bills he vetoed (750 altogether), singling them out as classic examples of the waste of taxpayer money.

After the early-evening break, Barry Goldwater, Jr. stepped forward to give some introductory remarks, reminding the audience that the GOP had made a Contract with America back in 1994, and then spent the next 12 years becoming everything that it had campaigned against. Finally, the moment that everyone had been waiting for arrived, and Ron Paul made an entrance resembling that of a national convention, complete with signs, balloons, and cascades of confetti.

After the thunderous, rock-star reception, Congressman Paul spent a full hour forcefully delivering his message of freedom. He recalled his roots as a country doctor and his reluctance to enter into a life of politics. "I lost my skepticism," he said. "I hope you lost your apathy." The fired up crowd made it clear that they had.

Congressman Paul also recalled many of the challenges of his presidential campaign, including exclusion from some debates and dismissive media coverage. But he also touched on some of the successes, such as the popularity of his message among young voters, despite his being one of the eldest candidates in the race. Paul then launched into a recital of many of the themes of his campaign: opposition to the war in Iraq, withdrawal of the United States from the United Nations, ending federal income taxes, removing our military from foreign soil, and abolishing fiat money, to name a few. In fact, the most popular chant that the audience launched into throughout the day was, "End the Fed!"

The crowd obviously loved what they heard, and ultimately went off into the night recharged, with the hope that Ron Paul's campaign was not ending, but entering a new phase. "I firmly believe that our day is coming," Congressman Paul had assured the crowd, "Ideas spread; you can't stop them."

Media coverage of the Rally for the Republic varied from favorable to misleading. The local newspaper here in Appleton, Wisconsin, had a nice write-up on it the day before the event, but nothing afterwards. The Minneapolis and St. Paul newspapers buried their stories among the blanket coverage they gave to the GOP convention, and then gave more ink to Jesse Ventura than they did to Ron Paul. Early Associated Press reports put attendance at the rally in the hundreds. That may have been true in the first hour, but attendance quickly reached into the many thousands as the afternoon went on. The most deceptive reporting was that of the Washington Post, which was notorious for its news blackout of Ron Paul during the primary campaign. It posted video highlights of the rally on its website, first showing people working their way through the lobby, then showing the floor of the arena during the time that Ron Paul conducted his press conference, before the public was let in. This cunning switch in chronology served to give the misleading impression that the rally was not well attended when, in fact, it was virtually sold out. It's another example of why the mainstream media can't be trusted to give the American public the unvarnished truth, and why more people need to read The New American.

FuzzNews Update

FuzzNews update

This below, is just to keep you up on the Revolution. While Dr. Paul is no longer
"officially" running for president, his message remains
that of hope and of truth.

This November many will vote for the who they believe
to be the "Lesser of two evils" without giving thought
to a 3rd party choice. We must carry on Congressman
Paul's message of liberty by sharing with others the
very real possibility of breaking the cycle of the 2
party system. The fact is cited in many polls that
over 40% of voters consider themselves as independents,
not being able to identify with either of the 2
dominant parties. This number is larger than ever and
is enough to win an election.

WE HAVE LIMITED TIME...

The message must get out to people that they must vote
their conscience and not buy into the "wasted vote"
propaganda. Our goal leading up to the election is to
give people real hope and inform them of the
alternatives. Help them understand that a vote for the
"Lesser of 2 evils" is still a vote for evil.

STEP #1 >>

Get the printed or digital version of Republic Magazine
to distribute.

Print copies:
http://www.republicmagazines.com

Digital download:
http://www.republicmagazine.com/magazines/Republic-Magazine8.pdf

STEP #2 >>

Pass out or email a copy to everyone you can. Our country is in
trouble. We've been asleep...apparently still asleep. I don't know
how to fix it except to add my sometimes too shrill voice to an already
full tent of vaudeville barkers. Maybe Ron Paul can fix it, he's a
congressman, he's in the middle of it, I'll continue to support him and
you might want to stay in touch with his movement: Ron Paul's Campaign
for Liberty. I believe he's the real deal. I'm just the guy jumping up
and down and pointing. The first thing I notice is he's all over the
road. The second is he's not playing around, he's just a very bad
driver. He doesn't seem drunk, and after speaking with him, I find him
to be a genuinely nice guy. He just doesn't seem to notice (or care)
that he's put us all in jeopardy. People begin to hush me. Talking to
the driver is going to make us crash.... I go back to my seat and try
to read.  No way.  I speak to my neighbors and try to get some support;
maybe we can all tell him to slow down. "Don't worry, he always drives
like that", they say; and go about their various conversations. The
buss lurches and a woman falls out of her seat. A nice man helps her up
but no one says a word. It occurs to me that everyone knows something I
don't....or maybe they're stupid. It doesn't matter, I'm getting off
the buss, it's time to make plans for my family. Most times it was just a feeling....a glint of reflection off the past or into the future. One time back in the seventies, I went to visit my Aunt Roxy in New York. She took me on a subway ride and I commented on how clever the train people were to paint them all those cool colors. She said, "it wasn't the subway company that did it...." and described a fight for her life with a mugger while people pretended not to see as the train clattered on into the darkness.

Gestalt therapy...hey wa-do I know? Still, a woman wrote a book about it years ago and I noticed it on a Roosevelt bookshelf, titled, "Don't Push the River" I didn't need to read the book, the title said it all. That's what some of us do... push things. I can't count the times I was sent to "see the Principal". One day waiting outside my next class, Mrs. Thorndike walked up, looked me in the eye, and without me saying a word, said, "go see the principal". How could someone write a whole book on pushing a river if others didn't push it....push the frickin river? Imagine a play where everyone agreed on how it should end? I suppose there'd be no need for hot and cold, good or bad, light and dark....

So, like children after a rain, we chase bits of stream and direct it to do rightful things...leave the town, irrigate crops, turn great wheels and join small rivers. History splashes alongside, barefoot and seemingly without direction... Children grow and find bigger rivers. They join with history to fight bloody battles over right and wrong... and these too, run to yet bigger rivers...clubs turn to swards, swards become guns and one day we stand at the edge of nuclear reality... a mighty and incredibly wide river that carries the face of history with it. Now anyone who cares to look, can see... Only a handful even try to push this river...may as well push against gravity or stretch marks... It sweeps away everything imaginable ...so broad and fast and completely without mercy....this river, shot like an arrow from the beginning of time to the last nuclear showdown at Okay Coral; is now recognizable. How could we have missed it? Everyone's asleep. Where's Paul Revere when we need him? He's in your bathroom, wake up, brush your teeth and look in the mirror.

It's rained day and night for a solid week here. Today the sun came out and chased away my blues. I had to smile. I asked myself.... "Fuzz, if you only had a day to live, would you still push that frikin river? Didn't you tell everyone the sky was falling? Didn't you give them references so they could look for themselves? If they cared, couldn't they Goggle Ron Paul and join the Revolution without you?"

This isn't the last FuzzNews. It's just the last one for today. I'm here, drop me a line if we're gonna fight commie dogs and fascist pigs. Till then, I'm going riding.

While I'm gone, ask yourself what you'd do if history flooded into your living room.... if "they" came for your food, guns and kids. When you get it more or less figured out, pass the word. We need leaders, be one. We owe this to women -- and to many men too -- who have picketed,
gone on hunger strikes or confronted violence at the polls so women can vote. We
owe it to Shirley Chisholm, who first took the "white-male-only" sign
off the White House, and to Hillary Rodham Clinton, who hung in there through
ridicule and misogyny to win 18 million votes.

But here is even better news: It won't work. This isn't the first time
a boss has picked an unqualified woman just because she agrees with him and
opposes everything most other women want and need. Feminism has never been about
getting a job for one woman. It's about making life more fair for women
everywhere. It's not about a piece of the existing pie; there are too many
of us for that. It's about baking a new pie.

Selecting Sarah Palin, who was touted all summer by Rush Limbaugh, is no way to
attract most women, including die-hard Clinton supporters. Palin shares nothing
but a chromosome with Clinton. Her down-home, divisive and deceptive speech did
nothing to cosmeticize a Republican convention that has more than twice as many
male delegates as female, a presidential candidate who is owned and operated by
the right wing and a platform that opposes pretty much everything Clinton's
candidacy stood for -- and that Barack Obama's still does. To vote in
protest for McCain/Palin would be like saying, "Somebody stole my shoes, so
I'll amputate my legs."

This is not to beat up on Palin. I defend her right to be wrong, even on issues
that matter most to me. I regret that people say she can't do the job
because she has children in need of care, especially if they wouldn't say
the same about a father. I get no pleasure from imagining her in the spotlight
on national and foreign policy issues about which she has zero background, with
one month to learn to compete with Sen. Joe Biden's 37 years'
experience.

Palin has been honest about what she doesn't know. When asked last month
about the vice presidency, she said, "I still can't answer that
question until someone answers for me: What is it exactly that the VP does every
day?" When asked about Iraq, she said, "I haven't really focused
much on the war in Iraq."

She was elected governor largely because the incumbent was unpopular, and
she's won over Alaskans mostly by using unprecedented oil wealth to give a
$1,200 rebate to every resident. Now she is being praised by McCain's
campaign as a tax cutter, despite the fact that Alaska has no state income or
sales tax. Perhaps McCain has opposed affirmative action for so long that he
doesn't know it's about inviting more people to meet standards, not
lowering them. Or perhaps McCain is following the Bush administration habit, as
in the Justice Department, of putting a job candidate's views on "God,
guns and gays" ahead of competence. The difference is that McCain is
filling a job one 72-year-old heartbeat away from the presidency.

So let's be clear: The culprit is John McCain. He may have chosen Palin out
of change-envy, or a belief that women can't tell the difference between
form and content, but the main motive was to please right-wing ideologues; the
same ones who nixed anyone who is now or ever has been a supporter of
reproductive freedom. If that were not the case, McCain could have chosen a
woman who knows what a vice president does and who has thought about Iraq;
someone like Texas Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison or Sen. Olympia Snowe of Maine.
McCain could have taken a baby step away from right-wing patriarchs who
determine his actions, right down to opposing the Violence Against Women Act.

Palin's value to those patriarchs is clear: She opposes just about every
issue that women support by a majority or plurality. She believes that
creationism should be taught in public schools but disbelieves global warming;
she opposes gun control but supports government control of women's wombs;
she opposes stem cell research but approves "abstinence-only"
programs, which increase unwanted births, sexually transmitted diseases and
abortions; she tried to use taxpayers' millions for a state program to shoot
wolves from the air but didn't spend enough money to fix a state school
system with the lowest high-school graduation rate in the nation; she runs with
a candidate who opposes the Fair Pay Act but supports $500 million in subsidies
for a natural gas pipeline across Alaska; she supports drilling in the Arctic
National Wildlife Reserve, though even McCain has opted for the lesser evil of
offshore drilling. She is Phyllis Schlafly, only younger.

I don't doubt her sincerity. As a lifetime member of the National Rifle
Assn., she doesn't just support killing animals from helicopters, she does
it herself. She doesn't just talk about increasing the use of fossil fuels
but puts a coal-burning power plant in her own small town. She doesn't just
echo McCain's pledge to criminalize abortion by overturning Roe vs. Wade,
she says that if one of her daughters were impregnated by rape or incest, she
should bear the child. She not only opposes reproductive freedom as a human
right but implies that it dictates abortion, without saying that it also
protects the right to have a child.

So far, the major new McCain supporter that Palin has attracted is James Dobson
of Focus on the Family. Of course, for Dobson, "women are merely waiting
for their husbands to assume leadership," so he may be voting for
Palin's husband.

Being a hope-a-holic, however, I can see two long-term bipartisan gains from
this contest.

Republicans may learn they can't appeal to right-wing patriarchs and most
women at the same time. A loss in November could cause the centrist majority of
Republicans to take back their party, which was the first to support the Equal
Rights Amendment and should be the last to want to invite government into the
wombs of women.

And American women, who suffer more because of having two full-time jobs than
from any other single injustice, finally have support on a national stage from
male leaders who know that women can't be equal outside the home until men
are equal in it. Barack Obama and Joe Biden are campaigning on their belief that
men should be, can be and want to be at home for their children.

This could be huge.

Gloria Steinem is an author, feminist organizer and co-founder of the
Women's Media Center. She supported Hillary Clinton and is now supporting
Barack Obama.

Hi Mom,

Wow, this is like a meeting from different planets aboard the Enterprise...I'll do my best....

First we need to establish where Gloria Steinem is coming from (other then the best recipe for "magic brownies" ever devised). Then we need to see how Sarah Palin fits into the picture painted by Gloria Steinem. Then the picture that I've been driving around with all day since reading your last email...how to explain the strange critters that populate the world of politics; and, for my part, try to put them in the same pool without fighting so we can get on with the business of wrestling down an out of control government. ......like if you had a Hollywood party and the Hell's Angles were in attendance. In the midst of discord and lustful excess, the house catches fire. Getting everyone all to work together....at least till the fire's out, is what I'm all about. Here goes...

Gloria comes from the left. She takes our constitution liberally. That is to say, she either intentionally doesn't understand it or understands it and doesn't agree. After all, the constitution is a fairly easy concept to understand. Why the constitution? Because that's the document that separates us from all the revolutions in history and the one that has produced the most freedom and prosperity for the average person ....ever. It ekes of fairness and everyone having a fair shot to be his or her best. Yes, blacks were excluded and yes, women were, too, but I think history has done it's best to right those wrongs. If you like, I'll write a separate piece about that time and why women and blacks weren't included, but I'll touch on it just a bit: In the old west when men were men, women were men too. They got up in the wee hours of the morning and started the days meals, milked the cow and while he was off hunting and tending fences, she had a gun nearby to protect what they had together. They'd gravitated towards what they wanted, each doing the best they could and received a hard earned respect from one another. This mutual agreement works well in Central America. Hopefully Gloria will stay busy up in the States.

Sarah Palin may understand our constitution better. I don't know her well enough and haven't read anything that wasn't politically motivated about her.... but she's teamed up with someone who's only interested in power and will do whatever is necessary to have it...including ignore our constitution. In McCain's case, I will give him credit for being too stupid to really understand. So, on the face of it, I agree completely with Gloria Steinem. We don't want a woman in office because she's a woman. Certainly not if she hasn't even been curious enough to "focus" on the war in Iraq. In fact, since she hasn't said, "we need to get out now!", she doesn't qualify to be my VP.

Many years ago when I was a liberal Democrat, I got into a debate with a local candidate. He was a conservative republican and we lashed each other back and forth in my shop until, tired and completely blocked against each other, he said, "you know, we both want the same thing...." that didn't win his argument but it put me on pause for a long time. He was right. We did want the same thing. Peace, we were in Viet Nam then. Prosperity, Nixon finished what Roosevelt started and took us that last bit off the gold standard and things have gone downhill even faster. (I'm sorry, I know you loved Roosevelt but he did some very bad things that we are paying for today), and thirdly, honest friendship with other nations, something we still don't have because we keep meddling in their affairs.

Many of Gloria's points against Sarah Palin are simply the differences in how democrats and republicans would work to meet the same ends. Let's take some issues:

Woman's liberation: While women examined themselves and sought better lives, men looked in the same mirror and wondered what was to become of them. It looked to us like we were being flung out with the bath water. Speaking for myself, I didn't know how to act. I wanted to be supportive. Hell, I didn't like braziers either! I began to defer to women and seek their unsolicited opinion. I stopped holding the door. I learned to fart in public and even quit wearing underwear. Seems there was a time of real silliness. Man bashing became popular and soon a woman couldn't get laid because we couldn't get it up. Then a strange thing happened....

Some men, more astute then I, began to ask questions. Women, too, stood back and wondered.... If a woman was an iron worker, a foreign corespondent, or engineer in that so called man's world, it meant she got respect because she was really good at what she did. Now, with all the laws on how many women needed to work on any particular job, or that a case of oil was now twelve quarts instead of twenty four...the silliness began to run in the other direction. Soon, a few brave souls began to say horrible things like, "if you want to be equal...be frikin' equal".

If 92.8 women don't want combat duty, fine. Those who do, better be good as men. Would you want someone guarding your back who wasn't just dying to tear the guts out of the enemy in hand to hand combat? If the trigger on her rifle is just another “enter” key at a safe distance, what happens when defences are breached and she's just fixed her bayonet? Is she leaping out of her foxhole screaming bloody murder and running towards the enemy?

Equal pay is gonna be really bad for women. Display all the statistics you like, but as long as women are perceived to have babies just when the company needs them, they will always be hired second to men. If an employer has this prejudice, why wouldn't he hire a man for the same money? Equal pay is bad for all minorities. It removes the only chance a mother might get to have a job. I was speaking to a friend who owns a bar recently. A liberal American from LA, he told me he feels bad doing it but truth is, a barmaid who leaves her son with her mom, will always get calls, have emergencies or not show up because he's just swallowed his pet alligator. What's she got to barter with except pay?

Nice tits will get you into office management if the men upstairs are that foolish, but a woman CEO is there because she eats men in a different way...for breakfast; and God help the man who gets in her way. I like that. It's earned. I've spoken to many men who would be delighted to have a woman or a black president...just not Hillery or Obama please...

Does Sarah Palin stack up to Joe Biden? I don't know, I don't like Joe's position on most things. Old, clever "one liner" kind of people with kindly faces and who have been there forever can still be wrong enough to kill a generation of young men and women.

Like selling religion, freedom or anything of value, you need to do it one person at a time. Being "equal" is that way, you can't legislate it. But Mom, I'm going to rest on this because even though it's big on Gloria's list, it's not on mine. Men and women are just people. I treat each one as they appear to me at the time and leave the rest.

Gloria is still trying to make life "fair". Democrats, Liberals....Socialists are always trying to make things fair but never with their own money. Take from the rich and give to the poor. Robin Hood portrayed as some kind of folk hero...but the rich are rich from using their heads and working hard and producing a better product for less money serving the public. The proverbial golden goose....kill it and now there's none for anyone. Tax the makers of wealth enough and they stop producing. How many brushes would the Fuller Brush man sell if he's taxed out of his house? When will he move to the line that says, "pooh folks", and begin to receive the fruits of other people's labor? Why do industries move to other countries and leave a nation without jobs? Fair is how the chips fall. Good people will pick up the slack and help their neighbors. They don't' need government to force them to be charitable. How many people on welfare really need it anyway?

Socialism is an early stage of communism. Pure Communism can't feed itself unless free countries send them food. This is the pie Gloria really wants to bake. A pie that distributes a nation's wealth evenly...except there's no history of that ever happening. Once the governmental apparatus is in place and the wealth moves in to the central warehouses controlled by government....distribution slows to a stop. Who needs toilet paper in Nebraska? Why isn't the phone ringing? Ask them and no one has a clue. How would you know unless people were buying it? On roll per week to each household? Five rolls? Russia couldn't do it with all it's guns. China and Russia both killed millions upon millions of people experimenting with state run farms. Frank Perdue said it..."what's government know about chickens?"

So let's be fair and bash the right awhile. John McCain says he thinks we need to stay in Iraq. I believe he'll nuke Iran. Obama will, too but I want to beat up on ol' John right now. Being a republican means something different to different people. Neoconservatives (just say modern, mainstream republicans) believe we have a right and duty to police the world. They are responsible for our mid east problems. Democrats wrinkle their collective nose but never really pull together to stop anything. In fact, they look like those little nodding doggies in rear car windows. Together, they want to tax people out of their homes, out of their cars and out on the street. When we bulk at outright taxes, they use the hidden tax of inflation to build offensive army's and keep offensive foreign policy's. They are the welfare recipients no one ever talks about.

Honestly, I'm in a tough position because I don't believe any of these people can fix our problems. If you want to fix a problem, you have to find and stop the cause of it. Only with honest assessment of the problems we face, can we stop the flow of evil coming out of Washington. We can't spend ourselves out of inflation. We can't bomb ourselves into prosperity and talking about feminism while our proverbial house is a sheet of flame...is like something out of a Felini movie.

PS I want to say a few things in explanation and perhaps in favor of Sarah Palin, even if I don't want her as my VP.

Affirmative Action: Sarah is a neorepublican conservative. She's just not going to like a system that randomly pulls people from the masses and puts them in places of trust and authority... just because they're black or wear lipstick. I can't imagine a self made woman who'd like it either. I feel sorry for these people too, but lets ask the courts to stop granting free rides and the school system to stop passing them through even though they can't read and the criminal system for not holding everyone accountable. Affirmative action is stupid and creates resentment from white males who DO qualify and can't get in. No wonder white kids act like black kids now... I ask you.. in your experience, does the following statement ring true to you? "inviting more people to meet standards, not lowering them."

Abortion: I've flip flopped on this. Even to this day, I think it's one of those questions best left to the two individuals who stand to suffer from such a horrific decision. My mother staunchly defends abortion. Remind me to tell you why some day. ...and then later of course, there I was, dick leaking with each step through the '60s and living with no win decisions both before and after Roe vs Wade. Older and (fair enough, I shoot blanks now, when I shoot at all..) with nothing to loose, it's easy for me to believe an unborn baby has rights too, as a new member of God's creation. Dr. Paul tells a story about accidently walking into an OR just as they threw a baby into the trash. He said, this was before there were "procedures", and he saw the baby trying to breathe and being completely ignored by the staff. I believe the first stage of fixing this dilemma is to say it's NOT the business of the Federal Government to make these decisions. Now it falls to the states. Some may and some may not support abortion . It falls then to the people involved and that's where it belongs for now. But under no circumstances may the government PAY for these services with money taken from those who believe, by GOD, that it's murder. Heavy doo doo.... "What's government know about Chickens?" Gloria's asking government to do something it's not designed to do and can be depended on to blow it every time.

Alas, Sarah believes Creationism should be taught in schools: Pardon me while I try to choke this down. Isn't a far more important question supposed to be asked first? WHO's schools? Where in the constitution does it say we can be taxed for forced government education? Where? Say your kids can't read, Stanley? Say they don't know anything at all about their Forefathers, their Declaration of Independence or their Constitution that had them living larger then any nation ever in all of history? Sarah is sadly wrong here and if she's so hung up on her religion, she doesn't need to run at all. That's personal stuff....says so in the very First Amendment. In fact, this is where I agree with Gloria big time. In the absence of government education, do you think the richest nation in the world would fail to educate their children? Go on with yourselves then....

Global warming: driving through the south as a young man, it was impossible to ignore the trash on the ground everywhere. They had signs that said, "Colored only", too. Time went by without me noticing. Then one day driving through, it was clean and the signs were gone. People change themselves. It was a forgone conclusion that Slavery was a bad idea long before Lincoln came along. The people knew, they decided, and their government did their bidding. People, given the freedom to choose, will always want to do the right thing. Now we want to help our environment, it's time has come...let's help the earth and live healthier lives, hell, we quit smoking didn't we? But to imagine that we've ruined the earth and we better fix it quick with the kind of spastic response government is capable of, is utterly insane!

Find a plane that runs on Morlott. Anything else is too expensive. Fly around the world real close to the ground. What do you see? Nothing, right? How fast is Manhattan gone and how long is it before you see the next smoke stack? Forever mate, forever....

Ask brother Kerry what LA looked like when he got there and what it looked like twenty years later when he left. BIG difference, right? People want to do the right thing.

Sit in the desert 100 miles out from Albuquerque and watch the shimmering heat rise off the ocean floor. See long dead volcanos without names in the distance. Huge rock formations with millions of years of water warn trenches that made up a moment of time as the last of it drained off.

Study the hieroglyphics of the ancient Egyptians and read those who've learned the language. Ask about the dark star that runs an elliptical orbit around the earth ever X thousands of years and what becomes of earth's poles when it passes. Drop that cosmic acid crunch and step waaaaaaaaaaa-back. Are we so arrogant as to believe the last nanosecond of time that we've inhabited the earth is enough to cause the polar ice to melt? Give me a cosmic break....and get real.... Our most pressing problem with the environment is if Asshole pushes the big red button and nukes Iran. This will start a chain of events that could put us in jeopardy, never mind the earth. She'll shrug it off like nothing in the twenty minutes it takes for thirty million years to go by. ....

Woman's Wombs vs gun control.... "She pulled a pussy on me your honor..." I think we are grown up enough to know if you don't put your thingy in her thingy there will be no babies. Today, you can put a blocker in front..some kind of trampoline...or take a pill...HE could take a pill or not even do it at all. While we're at it, let's cover crabs and AIDs. Why do we spend millions of dollars to teach people not to put their thingy in thingys that may have bad things inside? I knew this at age twelve. So did Sally Ann and she was only ten.

Guns .... God cast us upon this earth to fend for ourselves. Some of us were strong of character and withstood great trials but when it came to defend ourselves from bigger, more aggressive advisories, John Moses Browning made them equal....a 110 pound pale face Gringa chick could stop a 200 pound Apache with a hard-on you'd die for, Mom. In fact, a gun was the first thing since the plague that made women equal in any real sense.

In King George III's time, in England, the time of our revolution, listen.....again quoting Hunter S. Thompson from "Generation of Swine".

"In the early years of the century, there were a large number of "Rakes" Clubs" in London, where the high point of most evenings was hitting the streets in a drunken, brainless frenzy and raping, beating and maiming every human being they got their hands on. Bargo Patridge, in his classic History of Orgies said, "The Bucks and Gallants roamed the streets terrifying the elderly, beating up the watch [police], breaking windows, committing rape and sometimes even murder. Young girls were stood on their heads in the gutter, and elderly ladies popped into barrels and sent rolling down hills....there were clubs called the Mohawks and the Man-Killers, which tried to out-do each other in the hideous game called 'tipping the Lion,' This consisted in crushing the nose, and simultaneously gouging out the eyes of the victims unfortunate enough to be waylaid by them. They also carried a piece of apparatus for distending mouths and slitting ears."......"But it couldn't last. There were too many losers wondering around with their noses crushed, their eyes gouged out and their mouths so stretched that they could take in a whole cantaloupe and still make idle conversation in a pub. Public opinion turned on the 'wild boys,' and their clubs were banished."

(Thompson continues...) " These were not lower class thugs, as in Clockwork Orange, but the sons of the aristocracy. There was no law for them. Only the rich and powerful were allowed to carry swards or ride horses--which put the poor at a certain disadvantage when gangs of rich drunkards swooped down on them in some dim-lit street after midnight..."

Guns don't kill people. People kill people. I'll rest my case here for the moment, I don't expect to sell you on this anyway....

There's some stuff in Gloria's piece that I'd just like to touch on. Depending on who's news you read... the same technology that gave us cleaner cars, also made coal one of the cleanest fuels around. They can drill anywhere now and get not make a mess if they're held accountable. Personally, I wonder why we don't repeal the Price/Anderson act and get good, reliable, safe and cheap energy from modern nuclear power. It's not the same as it was if you take away the Price/Anderson act. That insidious plan which insures the victims with their own money against a shaky 1950s technology that should have been replaced long ago.

Well, that's it Mom. Not what I expected and not sure it's all that focused but I'm done with it now. I understand Gloria Steinem was a central figure in the 60s. I was one of the men demonstrating she talks of. I wanted you all to be happy and everyone interested in stopping the war was a liberal. I got laid a lot, too, from that position. Well, thanks for getting through this. Your loving step son, Chip

FuzzNews 23

FuzzNews 23
July Inflation a real shocker? Business Week? How strange... a magazine that
purports to understand at least the rudiments of free market economics... would be surprised by the sea of ink we're swimming in? Yes, a sea of ink and worthless paper. When I was a boy I rode the train to school for awhile. I was greatly impressed that you could give the stern looking conductor a piece of paper and he'd let you ride on his train.

One rainy Sunday, I took a pad of Mom's special flowered stationary and began cutting my own tickets. I drew pictures on them, Ducks, in fact. Armed with a hundred or so, I boarded the train on Monday morning. When the conductor stopped at my seat, I gave him one of my Duck tickets. He smiled. I smiled back nervously.

"Nice Duck kid, now gimme the ticket."

Well, of course I hadn't bought one and had to give him real
money...yeah, it was real then, silver it was... I thought it was
over and hoped for a smile and to see the back of him, but no, this asshole had to give me a lecture about honesty and the American way. People were looking at me like I was Willie Sutton the famous bank robber of the day. My cheeks burned. Burned too, square into my heart, was a lesson in economics that the proceeding nine years of forced government schooling never improved upon.

For those of you who haven't joined the revolution by buying Ron
Paul's book, "Revolution, a Manifesto", or those who bought it and put it on the shelf, here's some points he makes on the subject of inflation: (I paraphrase here because the book is copyrighted and he uses fifty cent words sometimes) Until 1933, you could take a twenty dollar bill to a bank and get an ounce of gold. Last time I looked, an ounce of gold was almost $1,000. In 1933 the US went off the gold standard. From this point on, the paper $20 bill was redeemable in nothing. Then the government confiscated all monetary gold and even nullified existing private contracts that required servicing in gold. Our fathers and grandfathers never said a word. They were about to get a free ride at our expense. Of course, the US had to allow for redemption to foreign central banks at 35 dollars an ounce, already a significant drop in value of the dollar from it's original $20 an ounce.

Over the years, foreign governments realized we were inflating hell
out of our money and began to demand gold instead of paper, which was increasingly loosing it's value. This is the point Richard Nixon
realized we'd soon be out of gold if we kept sending it overseas. He
closed off gold even to foreign central banks, thereby ending any link our dollar may have had to gold. This was 1971. I quit racing in '72 and in '73 spent the better part of a year on the road. The first
"gas crisis" began in Denver Colorado. I was there in a generic Dodge Dart and waited in the first gas lines. I believe the price was an outrageous fifty cents a gallon. Lucky to be free, I traded it for a
bicycle and continued on my journey... but that's another story... The
STORY is the Arab World would no longer accept our ever increasingly worthless money... unless they got more of it. Not an unreasonable request, though we postured and wined and called them names.

What does it mean when we hear the Fed is cutting interest rates? Insiders call this the federal funds rate, the rate that banks charge when they borrow from each other. The banks, by law, need to keep a certain percentage of their deposits on reserve and can't loan too much because there must always be enough for customers to withdraw money from their accounts. Sometimes there isn't enough money and banks raise the rates on the money they loan to each other. Some have no money to loan to customers and even fall below the required minimum cash in the bank. Banks have been known to close for this reason. The federal funds rate goes up as money gets scarcer.
Somewhere a man watching CNN reaches from his reclining, vibrating
real leather chair for more dip. The can is empty...none in the fridge and his wife, watching her own TV upstairs, yells down that there's no dip and no money till payday. They had applied for an equity loan on the house just last Thursday but the rates were so high they knew they
couldn't pay it back. Only a week ago Barney'd been cut to a three
day work week. Yup, money's tight all right.

What to do...what to do... ZAP! A man in green tights explodes from behind the stove. On his chest is the picture of a printing press and above it in big letters, "FED MAN". Barney and his wife never question how he got behind the stove, what's he doing in their house or how he can buy bonds from banks with money he just prints out of thin air. They're just happy he's going to make it so Bernie can have more dip. Sure enough, a few days later, Barnie notices rates for a loan are so good, he might build that addition to the rec room and maybe plan that trip to Costa Rica.

Naturally, banks want to sell loans. They compete with lower rates.
Soon people are floating in cheap money and the false prosperity it
pretends. Barney is back at the mill and his shelves are dripping with dip. Seems no end's in sight.

[Interestingly, the fed always seems to print more of that stuff just before an election. This next one may be different, when transfusions can't keep up with the hemorrhage...the patient may not be revived. In the money business, equate this to hyperinflation, the end to paper currency and extremely poor times for the average person...election or no election]

Why can't we just keep printing forever? What's gonna happen to Barney?

When the FED prints this money, it doesn't send the first batch to
Barney. No, Big Banking gets it first. Who is Big Banking's best
friend? Government...who's been under the desk keeping things nice for them. Under the desk, too, are government's best friends; arms manufacturers, pet projects for congressmen who can hardly contain themselves with the prospects of sending arms to both sides of a war. The term "trickle down" takes on a perverse meaning here. I mean, here's Barny, still buying dip, but at an inflated price now. Yes, our arms makers got it when it was worth a lot but by the time it trickled down to poor Barney, well, he got the dip, but the extra room is under plastic now and his pals left cause there was no money to buy materials. Costa Rica? Yeah, right....

How does it happen? As Ron Paul says, "Where does the Fed get the money to buy the bonds? It creates it out of thin air, simply writing checks on itself and giving them to banks. If that sounds fishy, then you understand it just fine."

One interesting side note, Our health care system needs to be seen as part of government money manipulation. I gotta quote this, he makes it so simple..."With government so heavily involved in medicine, that is where so much of the new money is directed. Thus health costs tend to rise faster then other costs because of the distribution effects of inflation: wherever government spends it's new money, that is where higher prices will be most immediate and evident".

So inflation is a hidden tax. Going to bed at night with fifty bucks in your pocket and waking up with 48 'cause the presses were working all night. It's a racket to deliberately erode the value of our money. In plane words, government is robbing us and getting away with it because American education doesn't teach it, the press doesn't report it and people don't know to ask. Who runs the schools? Who owns the media? You know the answer...ask your kid to add 3+4 and see if he uses his fingers...

Again I quote Ron Paul, "The "inflation rate" itself, being tracked using the Consumer Price Index (CPI) tends to be measured in a
misleading way. Ask the average American if he thinks prices are
going up by only a few percent per year, so the official figures would have it. So-called core inflation figures do not include food or energy, whose prices have been rising rapidly." Why isn't this stuff being reported by our "free press"? What happens if you buy a free press...is it not free anymore?

So Business Week, News Week, CNN, Fox, CBS, ABC and ALL major media are telling us the same thing... that OUR SPENDING; on energy, building supplies, food and a good time on a Saturday night; IS CAUSING INFLATION. This, please excuse me, is like fucking for virginity. INFLATED MONEY SUPPLY IS CAUSING INFLATION...they're blaming us, the victims, for criminal acts committed by the FED and congress. How can the media be that wrong? The players in the news business are anything but stupid. We don't have to like them but it takes ruthless intelligence to climb the ladder to be a talking head. To write for Time Magazine, for instance, requires a Machiavellian understanding of international politics and the history of it. How could they not understand something I learned as a boy on the train with inflated Duck tickets?

Runaway inflation is like riding on a flat tire. At first it feels kind of racy, with the back coming out a bit in a corner...but pretty soon it's coming around on you and each time you have to save it with more and more radical corrections. Eventually you loose control and crash. In the economic world this means the money becomes useless and food is the issue, not what to watch on TV. Conquering more countries will only hasten it all...we can't spend our way
out of inflation.

Neither of our candidates for president will haul the coal. They, too are bought along with the press, the schools and our congress. We're on our own. Wake up America! Better find someone with presidential skills quick 'cause these two are gonna sink the boat. I think Ron Paul could be persuaded to come back out and play... MAKE YOURSELVES HEARD. I don't know how, use your imagination. REMEMBER...A free economy is fluid and self healing. No big swings or bubbles happen when government isn't involved...just continuous little ones keeping it all going straight down the highway of life. Don't buy the lie that these boom and bust cycles are normal in a free society. With only 10% we can get
the word out. If there are 300 million of us that means we need 30
million to turn off the TV and look outside their doors. You are the
vanguard that trips the switch and lets the ball roll down the shoot and
bumps the next guy into action.

It's okay to over amp and get too many interested. It's okay to miss by
a million or two, this message sells itself. We want our liberty back.
We want our money back. We want our self respect as a nation back.
Remember, 100 senators, 435 congressmen, one president and nine Supreme
Court Justices...545 people are directly responsible for the war we're
in and the ones they're planning. /They /have made our money worthless
(*gas didn't go up, money is falling like a rock* as they print it day
and night); /they/ put standing army's in 130 countries and */they/*
control the popular media. It's up to us to get the word out.

So, I'm forwarding this to you all just as I received it. This is the
young college student who made all those Ron Paul 08 DVDs. I bought and
passed out (mostly with the help of friends in the States) two or three
hundred of them. This is all about getting _the word out_. Most people
don't know what's coming and think we're just having a temporary
recession. After all, that's what they say on TV. ... Please read below...

To those that may be interested,

I was recently introduced to the National Center for Constitutional
Studies (which apparently is /also /located here in Idaho :-). They
appear to be an excellent source for constitutional media. Currently
they are offering *100 */pocket/-sized copies of the Constitution (which
also includes the Amendments and Declaration of Independence) for only
$30 /shipped /(that's $0.30 a piece). If you are wanting to help
educate the masses on what the /proper role of government/ is, I see no
better place to start than distributing the original documents that
helped establish our freedoms (and, it's pretty hard for people to
measure the size and scope of their government, if they don't have a
/pocket-sized/ ruler to measure with ;-).

I have just ordered 100 copies myself, and plan to hand them out to
friends, family, neighbors, and strangers (I think that includes
everyone...). If you're interested in furthering the cause of freedom,
I would encourage you to do likewise.

The Link: http://www.nccs.net/us_constitution.html

FuzzNews 3

Where I'm coming from continued

In the last FuzzNews we covered a brief history of Freedom.

We got down with God.

We covered money and inflation.

And we just grazed the surface of brash, arrogant men out to conquer the world.

Right, Left, center and us.

One of the great and many Louie's of France found himself in a debate for his life. There he stood with two factions before him.

One group wanted his government to feed the people, build hospitals and generally be the supplier of all their needs.

The other group wanted a stronger military and laws to keep hungry people in line. They still had a world to win and it was going to cost a lot. They wanted ships, more jails, more cops and Louis to stop wearing tights.

The King took a bold position and said, "Zestink depeue! Those pantywaists who want government to coddle them till death with free food, housing and medical care please stand over here on the left. Those arrogant bully's who want to enforce more laws and conquer the world, stand to my right. Thusly the Right and Left were born. Left to their own devices, they end in totalitarian (slave) states much like Stalin and Hitler. Terms like center, left of center, etc. amuse me. What they're saying is it's okay for government can take our wealth and use it any way they want, they only disagree on how it should be split and who should get it. Cross dressers, every one of 'em...can't decide on the pink or the blue.

Meanwhile, give or take a hundred years, the English are talking about something totally different; Liberty, the idea that a person actually owned the money he made and the land he bought with it. Over 500 years of steady movement towards an ideal, self ownership and self determination came to be in the United States. As mentioned earlier, most of these laws were carry overs from English law. We'd have preferred to stay British if only young king George III had paid any attention at all.

But English aristocracy was living large at the time. Quoting Hunter S. Thompson, (Generation of Swine) "By the second half of the century, there was a whole new focus for the gentleman's clubs...the worship of sex and extravagant public decadence. This was the time of the infamous Hellfire Club, which included among it's inner circle the Prince of Wales, the Lord Mayor of London, Benjamin Franklin, the crazed Earl of Sandwich, the Monstrous Earl of Bute, then the prime minister of England." ............."King George III, meanwhile, was so crazed with his own warped fantasies that he had little time to deal with a nasty little colonial insurrection that would come to be called the "American Revolution"."

So we revolted more against the current king then against England. In fact the term "Liberal" in the 1700s meant we took the kings law liberally (casually). Those loyal to the king were called Tories. They believed the king would some day grow up and take care of business. Interestingly, the term liberal today means taking our Constitution liberally, not very nice, concidering it's the only thing between us and very bad government.

Before we move on, I'd like to establish a point here. Government doesn't produce anything. No goods, no services... At best, it keeps creeps off the streets who make victims, ie, rape, murder, theft, extortion etcetera. Defends our shores, and settles disputes. At worst, government distributes goods and services that do not belong to them.

2) Ask yourself: what's a natural right? Housing? Food, education, roads, etc? The answer is none of the above. These can't be natural rights because someone has to pay for them through taxes or the hidden taxes of inflation. A natural right is to be free to do anything you like in thought or action as long as you don't interfere with the rights of another person.

Communism is just the opposite. The principal applied in the old U.S.S.R. was that of socialism; "From each according to his ability, to each according to his work." Here, everyone has a right (as long as he or she works at the job given them) to everything. Food, clothing, housing and even toilet paper was "free" (but there never seems to be any). The state owned everything except your personal furniture and your tooth brush.

Once during the early '70s a friend and I were traveling through the south and stopped in Summertown Tennessee to visit a commune called "the farm". A book, "Caravan", was written about this group of hippies and their many school buses who meandered across the United States looking for a place to build a commune. If I remember, there were about 1800 people and as many acres. They invited us to stay three days. After that we had to leave but could be invited back if they liked us. If invited, and if we wanted to move there, we had to give everything we owned to the commune and they would provide us with work and food and shelter. Okay, what did I know then... So we stayed. I worked in the motor pool and Judy worked in the kitchen. We attended prayer meetings, made friends and smoked lots of grass at night; but each morning we were expected to show up for work. One day I was just sitting, taking a break when one of the guys stopped on the trail and told me to get to work. I didn't like it but figured I didn't understand it yet. The day we left I was told I could come back. Judy wasn't invited. We'd been judged, and carried this experience over the road for the next few months digesting the meaning of socialism. At one point while we were still there, I'd asked if there was ever any work for artists. No, they said, an artiest was free to make his art but not sell it or even take particular pride in it because that wouldn't be humble and "working class" enough. A person was expected to work for the group. But I'm a dreamer. I work when I need to and lay around and think about the things I'm writing now, or building better, funnier mousetraps. It was someone like me who invented the wheel....too damn lazy to lift and carry it like everyone else....A few years later I heard the commune fell apart. About this time I was deep into Libertarian politics and understood why.

Progressive, liberal, socialist or communist are all but variations of the same disease. It's popular though, because getting government to give us free shit has always been popular. Just remember, it's not free, someone paid for it and if you live in the states, that's gonna be you.

A brief peek at US history and Charity

Let's face it, we all want to help the downtrodden. Historically, when we have money, we help out; when we don't, we horde our resources. As I've said, I'm not much of a scholar, but in reading both US and World history, it's pretty apparent that whenever those moments of relative freedom existed, people ate better. Apparent too, that everytime governments got involved, bad shit happened and food stopped along with the quality of life.

Before government got in the charity business there were bake sales, soup lines... Churches found work, civic organizations such as Moose's, Elks and Business's were willing to educate eager young people in their industries if there was an interest. In fact, there was so much residual wealth it was impossible to be hungry in America unless you just flat didn't want to work. Only truly "needy" people applied to the available charities and were proud to get off the "dole" as soon as they could. There was no mechanism for government to tax for welfare, housing or food stamps. The quality of immigrants who stepped off at Ellis Island was high. They were only here for the chance to make a better life. A chance to be something other then what their fathers were. There was no free anything, but opportunity for the common man was here like no other time in history. The United States of America already had what Communism has tried and failed to do in all it's variations since the "Levelers" back in the 1600s. ....an ad for God here..whether you believe or not, a study of history, politics and economics will show anyone who cares to look, we were designed to be Free. How else can one account for the fact that everytime we're left alone we ride better motorcycles and help our neighbors more and each one of us becomes the artiest that we are in this great movie of life. Sure, some are villains, some hero's but how can you have a play if you don't?

Education and popular press history lessons

If you're interested so far and are warming to the idea of freedom, prosperity and peace, then you need to do some reading on your own. I recommend for starts, "Dumbing Us Down" by John Taylor Gatto. Teacher in New York City 30 years. Winner of "teacher of the year" award, Mr. Gatto shows how kids are mass educated to follow rules and not ask questions. It's been ten, twelve years since I read this but as I remember... in Massachusetts in the early 1900s it took the national guard to keep a rioting populous from interfering while they marched children into the first state mandated schools. Literacy at the time was around 94%. The state never rose to that number again. Take a look at what we have...forced government education. Kids are shooting their teachers and each other, they can't read or express themselves and every time they make a move or show a little of themselves, the man is there with military precision and the loss of driving privileges or jail is soon to follow. Kids are fucked coming out the gate ....and they know it, mom and dad, they know it and can't even express it because they don't know how.

Government teaching American history to kids is like giving a fox the keys to the chicken coop. If it takes 250 hours to teach reading, writing and arithmetic, what are we doing with the most explorative and creative moments of our children's lives? It's not a matter of "better schooling", it's a matter of government's inability to do the job.

....Men out to conquer the world... They came ashore and cut a bloody path to the capital. There, they either took the castle or lay siege till thirst, hunger and a lack of fresh women brought them out. Lands were won this way, and while it wasn't pleasant, it was straightforward. Alliances were important so if you were attacked, your neighbor might come to the rescue. Treachery and dirty dealings were rampant and one could make a good buck by selling information to a would be attacker. Mostly though, attacking was done from the outside in. One could hardly attack one's self...

....or could they...? Before, it was just the king who wanted to be great and take lots of land and own it's people. It brought wealth, too. Chicks like rich guys. But after you've bought your second yacht and another villa in France, the money begins to sour. Somewhere around your hundredth million you realize it's not about toys anymore; it's about power.

I guess the first time I felt things going wrong with my country was while standing topside watch in the Navy. Someone said, "they just shot the president". I listened to Norwickie's transistor radio till the batteries went dead. No one knew what to say. We were on a warship, a submarine, but there was no one to kill. I was profoundly struck by this news. Can't remember his name but a young black seaman cried openly. Later, Lenny Bruce had more truth to say about that moment then all the news thereafter. Power had shifted hands. The Warren Commission confirmed my fears by telling us obvious and blatant lies. Death was the order of the day. Anyone who knew anything was killed or died mysteriously. Those were the good old days. People struggling to be top dog. Somehow it was understandable. History is full of it.

But something changed. When Bill Clinton was dipping cigars and reducing the presidency to trailer court gossip, he and Hillary were selling secretes out the back door. Indeed, they're hugely responsible for China's great stride forward at our expense. The things they did weren't just irresponsible, they were treasonous and unconstitutional. As they tried to socialize our health care system, I wanted to say something. I wanted to ask some questions and maybe have some accountability from my government. But the presidency was isolated from people like me. The press, too. I wanted to be a vigilant citizen and couldn't find a way to be heard. Instead I howled at the moon and complained to friends. It didn't matter. I didn't matter. They told lies and presumed I was choking them down. I wasn't. I'm still not.

I'm reminded of my tonsil operation when I was a boy. I might have been seven...the doctor asked what my favorite food was. I told him Chocolate. "Good," he said, and put a mask over my face and turned on the gas. I gagged and pulled the mask off. "Ugg! That's terrible!"

"Oh, sorry, how about banana?"

"Yeah, okay.... Ahhhrrra! That's not Banana!"

"How about strawberry?"

"Ok......." I guess I was knocked out by then but I still remember that son of a bitch...

Then along comes George Bush the boy. His family sort of stole the presidency for him and he found himself, a functioning illiterate, in the white house. The thing that separates George from a long line of mostly well intended presidents is his total dependency on others telling him what to do and then making it look like he thought of it. He is George Bush the hollow man. Those great one liners.... "Wanted. Dead or Alive". Attacking a country without congress's approval. Fudging evidence that Iraq was behind 9/11 and ripping what was left of our inalienable rights right off the books. It's all there to read if you take the time.

At last. Where we are right now and what's about to happen

If your cashier makes a mistake now and then, and the cash box is short at the end of the day... Ask yourself this question....is it "over" as often?

When Tricky Dick Nixon took us off the gold standard, was it just a foolish mistake? Where was congress? Who's watching the store?

When Daddy Bush took control of the press during the first Desert Storm, was it really for tactical reasons, or did he trample our first amendment rights without a whisper of protest from Congress or "the people"?

Tell me brothers and sisters, was invading a sovereign country simply a foo-pa, keeping us there under false pretenses and violating UN and Geneva Convention rules of war an error in judgment?

In the spirit of "if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck....IT' A DUCK", wasn't it strange how the head of the KGB and the head of the CIA became presidents of their countries? Haven't we noticed things go by in the news that caught our attention but seemed impossible to challenge because all our checks and balances didn't catch it either?

Those of us over fifty must certainly have noticed the word Billion mentioned a lot. Not just one or two, but 200 and 250 billion! If you add up all the free shit we give ourselves in military contracts, food stamps and support the empire of military bases that circle the world, not to mention forign aid, it comes to something like a billion every 8 hours...some say 35 million before breakfast just in Iraq. See link below...I hear lots of numbers and you shouldn't believe the ones I'm using. Who really knows? One thing is for sure, it's our way of life in the states. http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&ct=res&cd=1&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.commondreams.org%2Fviews04%2F0115-08.htm&ei=omf9R8DBIYW6zQSQpv3dCw&usg=AFQjCNEtTDqJM3ZsLoe0hl8MLQe57lnvmQ&sig2=4wOwsnAkXIHQZ_g2Px9JXA

Plainly said , we are under attack. We're being attacked from within. Bush is a hollow puppet just as Hillary and Obama and McCain are hollow. They're being run like the whores they are and their job is to run our economy into the ground. Like the first line in a good novel or an overview of a monthly report, Georgie Bush the boy declared when he first took office, [we are entering an age of ] "A New World Order." See below.... http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&ct=res&cd=1&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.greaterthings.com%2FConspiracy%2FNewWorldOrder%2FNWO_quotes.htm&ei=b239R5SpOaa8zQTIkMzdCw&usg=AFQjCNHkdCVtCQOJzlDO7luoENFS0emNhQ&sig2=27uu_gBG6_VlaGb9v8hflg

So here it is folks..."the sky is falling!" How do we fix it? I don't know. What I do know is we need to start paying attention and ask ourselves questions. As I write this I realize it's impossible to know it all, to show it all to you and to be right about any of it. I'm just saying it's time be be vigilant and look around us. These things that are happening to us are not mistakes or passing difficulties. The dollar in your jeans is loosing value while you sleep. The printing presses are running full tilt. They're asking congress for permission to use even cheaper material for coins.

Well gee Father Fuzz, what can I do?

Again, ask yourselves that question. Follow some of my news suggestions and see if they make sense to you. I don't believe everything I read but I find truth from religious groups I'd never payed any attention to before. One doesn't need to buy a package to have something in common. I've found the Ron Paul campaign to be the only one with any integrity. Okay, he won't be elected president but the man's got a message and he's still actively putting it out. Write to me with ideas and suggestions. Don't take this onslaught on our country as something God wants or something you think we deserve. We fought for freedom once and we can do it again.

Riding in the woods, if you come across a mud hole and focus on it, you're going in. look for a way around. It's always there, just have to break away from the mud. We can find our way back. They don't have us yet. We must take the inititive and not let those dim witted bullys interfere with our lives any more. Learn our history and be responsable voters and be involved with our government and don't let those bastards take our liberty away!

That's in, I'm done. Your loving friend and fellow traveler, Fuzz Furlong

Something to ponder below.

http://www.newswithviews.com/Veon/joan50.htm

see attachment.

Many of you have known me for thirty, forty, fifty years. You've made allowances at times just to keep our friendship as I ranted and raved about freedom and how the sky was falling, etc. This is for those of you who saw some humor in it, or actually thought I might be right.

I graduated high school with straight D's and couldn't get out of school fast enough and went racing as soon as I could support myself. Who knows why, but I also took an interest in history, I read a lot. This led me to political philosophy. Study like this sooner or later raises questions about how economy's are run and who runs them. I'm not an academic, never had to take a test about dates or remember obscure names. Without a spell checker, I"m lost. My quotes may be off some, but again, it's the message. Please correct me if it's important to you. The following is what I see as a progression to where we are now.

History of freedom

Skipping through at light speed, here are some significant moments. When Christ said, (paraphrased) "Let Caesar's be Caesar's and let God's be Gods". This meant that no self respecting king, dictator or president could lay claim to being a God. This was the beginning of the limits of power. Yes, they still pillaged raped and smoked dope. Yes, they could have you hung or gave you someone else's land, but now it was the King, not some deity who was doing all this good or evil. Time passed. Not much changed for the common man.

Magna Carta (1215)

The feudal relationship between King John and his barons involved the granting of titles, lands, revenues and rights in return for service, usually military service. When the king got out of hand, the barons rebelled and forced him (at sward point) to confirm the feudal contract and agree to stop his dastardly deeds. They made a contract called the Magna Carta, which included sixty three points by which the king was held responsible to the law, just as his subjects were. Two specific points made in Chapter 39: the right to trial by jury and "law of the land" which became "due process of law."

[The God factor: in the Magna Carta and all documents after, God's name is used a lot. Today people don't want to hear it. They were killing each other then, as they are today, over interpretations of what God said or didn't say. How would anyone know? While they continue to fight, let's take a look at this and see if it matters at all.

Today, Quantum physicists are looking up from sub atom microscopes and asking questions about the beginning of it all. To many of them, the existence of God is the only logical answer for what goes on down there. Who cares? What is, is. Even atheists claim to own their own lives.

Some believe God is all that is, the chair I'm sitting in and the keys I push on this computer. All one, "we're all one", or "we're all brothers and sisters". By extension, it's all God and it's from this admission that we're all experiencing our lives as individual particles of the same thing. That thing, whatever you call it, gave us free choice. Left alone, we produce art and wealth and eat well. Pushed into someone else's collectivist vision, we stop producing and spontaneity stops. No more rock 'n roll. This is what our forefathers meant when they said, "our rights are derived from God". So let's get over it and move on already...]

The Mayflower Compact, (1620) and The Petition of Right (1628)

Basically Puritan zealots who said the "Laws, Ordinances, Acts, Constitutions and Offices" are for the "general good of the Colony"; that is, the government must serve the people. They made the point that the king could not force loans and taxes on them. Parliament resisted but still citizens were imprisoned without showing cause or allowing bail. The House of Commons put together the "Petition of Right." Thus, fundamental rights such as trial by jury and due process from the Magna Carta, and the principal that there could be no taxation without the consent of Parliament. Also no more soldiers forced into civilian homes (and you with that young wife...). All this later went into our Constitution. John Lock was born about this time and later, it the late 1600s, wrote among other things, "Rights of Man".

An Agreement of the Free People of England. (1649)

In the void left by the death of King Charles I, a mis mash of different religions not wanting to establish one over the others, agreed that People are Sovereign and Parliament governs only by consent. (emphasis mine) From this came their view of inalienable rights of the individual, of law having authority by the consent of the people, of universal manhood suffrage (look it up, I don't know what it means either), of the origin of government in original compact and the idea that the powers of government should be limited by a fundamental law coming from the people. The Agreement wasn't accepted by Cromwell and the army, but the ideas it introduced were eagerly embraced by American Colonists.

The Bill of Rights (1689)

After the fall of Cromwell's government, the Stuarts pushed for absolute government vested in the king; Charles II pushed Parliament to the limit and James II pushed it till it broke. By picking laws he liked and vetoing laws he didn't (sound familiar?), James pretty much got it all. But in 1688, people rebelled and James ran for his life. Parliament declared him no longer king, and William and Mary, prince and princess of Orange, were now the lawful monarchs of England. They established parliamentary supremacy. Parliament passed the Bill of Rights in 1689. This Bill contains many articles we've seen before, but it also prohibits excessive bail, cruel and unusual punishments, and a declaration of the rights to bear arms. These laws, among others would find their way into our Constitution.

Declarations of the Stamp Act Congress. In Congress, New York, 1765

British government needed more money, who doesn't? Parliament passed the Stamp Act to help raise it. We, (the colonies) protested. A point of English law taken from the great English jurist Edward Coke, (no relation to Ashley Roachclip), that established that any law against the Magna Carta and the rights of Englishmen was void.

Among our complaints were "undoubted right of Englishmen that there should be "no taxation without representation." We reaffirmed our rights to trial by jury and the right to petition the king. Having seen the attempt of the Stuart monarchy to set up unlimited power in the Crown, we were now faced with a Parliament that seemed to claim absolute sovereignty (power).

Declaration and Resolves of the First Continental Congress. Philadelphia, Oct. 14, 1774

When Parliament passed the above taxes and put their military behind it, we decided to call a continental congress so we might present a united front (not a bad idea). We restated that we Americans were "entitled to all the rights, liberties, and immunities" of Englishmen. One novel point occurs in Resolution 10, which we assert the necessary separation of the branches of governmental power, as against the unitary (combined) power of the British government, and in anticipation of the separation of powers contained in our Constitution.

The Declaration of Independence (1776) http://www.ushistory.org/declaration/document/index.htm

When revolution became inevitable, we published our case to the world, especially France, who we hoped would help us (they did). The Declaration consists of three parts. The first contains those glorious ringing phrases of the first three paragraphs outlining the premise of the argument: that government is founded upon the consent of the governed, the social pact that's played an important role in American political thinking and that goes right back to the Magna Carta, and which was made explicit in the Agreement of the People. The second part is a long list of grievances intending to show that the British government had violated the pact (agreement), a list of violations, many of which we've seen before in these documents, and the third part is the last paragraph declaring the independence of the Colonies. See web address above if you want to read the document, it's worth it even though it's kind of stuffy for a bunch of revolutionaries.

Articles of Confederation 1778

Something history buffs might find interesting. This isn't an agreement between the people, or the people between the government; it's an agreement between the states and Congress. "Each state retains it's sovereignty (owns itself), freedom and independence, and every power, jurisdiction and right which is not by this Confederation expressly delegated to the United States in Congress assembled." You southern boys might take note on this and accept this Yankee's apology.

Constitution of the United States In convention, Sept 17, 1787

The Constitution represents everything we learned about limiting the powers of government in the 587 years since the Magna Carta. Power was carefully divided, not only among the three branches of the Federal government but also between State and Federal governments. This document, with the exception of the compromise over slavery, served us well for about 150 years. The first sustained assault on the limitations on government came in the 1930s with the New Deal Court's (thank Roosevelt for that) extension of Federal power to control economic activity via the Commerce Clause. Virtually everything done by the Federal government today in setting a minimum wage, setting health and safety requirements, all other economic intervention and much civil rights activity is done under the heading of the Commerce Clause. The second sustained attack on Constitutional limitations on government came in the 1960s when the Warren Court incorporated the Bill of Rights against the States via the Fourteenth Amendment. This has had the effect of giving the Federal government virtual control over all states activities and rendering federalism, the division of powers between the State and Federal governments, hollow rhetoric, and reducing the Tenth Amendment to a nullity (to nothing). Once again we are facing an unresponsive government of extensive powers and a thirst for our money. Someone once observed that eternal vigilance is the price of liberty. He was talking about us. Our fathers blew it. Our grandfathers blew it and their daddies too. Now we're blowing it. Take the time to know your incredible past before it's too late.

I list this brief history to demonstrate that it didn't just happen. Ben Franklin and Tom Jefferson and those other revolutionaries didn't simply get an idea one day and declare us all free. It took time and it didn't happen in any other period in history or in any other country. This was the first time that the people stood up and declared themselves free and self governing. ..yes, the first time it wasn't one group of thugs fighting with another group of thugs over our freedom and property. This economic freedom produced enough wealth that in a few generations it became possible to forget where wealth came from. One could vote for free shit for his family and friends and never suffer the consequences. That time is gone.

History of money

I don't claim to know when they started using coins but it was before the Babylonians. Gold was popular because it had these properties: rarity, easy to divide and it didn't corrode or rust. It was pretty and you could make jewelry out of it. It was real and had value and proof of this is it's still valuable today, now (April 1st 2008) worth over $1,000 for a one once coin. No more trading a cow for a blow job. Change could be made. Private banks would hold your gold for you and give you a receipt. Later, when government got involved, these receipts were called dollars and it said right on the receipt that you could claim your gold or silver whenever you wanted. That time, too, is gone.

Of course government wasn't supposed to be in the money business. It took 75 years after the last of our revolutionaries died before government dared to establish weights and measures and to coin it's own money. Interestingly, the first coin to bear "United States of America" (though private) was a penny in 1727. On the other side it said, "Mind Your Own Business". How far we've traveled....

Other things have been tried. Sea Shells of the Polynesians supposedly was popular for awhile but they lacked rarity and you couldn't really buy a cell phone or cow with it.

The concept of inflation came early in our speckled past. Caesar did it, for instance, by calling in gold coins with his likeness. Then, late at night when nobody was looking he melted them down and "inflated" the mix with brass, silver or bronze to thin out the mix so the vat would be fuller and he could cast more new coins then he'd melted down. Cleaver. It was his ace in the hole. When his army's covered the known world and taxes wouldn't cover the cost, he inflated the money. Actually there were goldsmiths who did the deed under government contract and there were some clever ways of "chipping" gold off a coin's edge that were practiced by both government and private citizens.

My boss has a son who practiced inflation in his home. Dad kept a small bar in the house. When he went away on a trip, his son drank some of his vodka. Afraid he'd get caught, he added the amount he drank with water so the bottle still looked full. This is a perfect example of inflation. Someone gets robbed without his knowing and the best part of the exchange goes to the thief.

The following is a quote from The Alliance for Monetary Education, Inc. (AME)

"Germany began it's experiment with inflating at the outset of World War I. In 1914 the value of the mark was 4.2 to the dollar. By 1920, the mark was valued at 39.5 to the dollar. In July of 1923, 493.2 marks equaled one dollar. The government was literally running presses around the clock to print Reichsbank notes. (factory workers demanded to be paid six times a day so they could throw these bushels of money to their wives who waited below with push carts. They would then race to the market to buy food before the prices went up.) In November 1923, the mark hit bottom....4.2 trillion marks equaled one dollar. A wheelbarrow full of money bought a loaf of bread. [at another time in history the price of a loaf of bread in America remained the same for a hundred years. An example of 0 inflation]

The annihilation of Germany's currency...by government inflating...destroyed the middle class, radicalized the populace and paved the way for Hitler (read Bush, Obama or McCain). Germany isn't the only example of inflationism preceding totalitarianism. In Russia (1917) and China (1949) Communist governments rode to power on a wave of popular discontent over price inflation. Could it happen here? Since the Federal reserve was established, in 1913, the purchasing power of the dollar has steadily deteriorated. In the past decade (this piece was written at least fifteen years ago) alone, the dollar has lost half of it's value...not as bad as the German hyperinflation, but we're getting there!"

The Fed tells the news how rising prices of gas are causing inflation. They scratch their collective heads and say they have no idea why gas goes up. I used to buy a gallon of gas when I was a kid for about .20 cents. Two silver dimes. I have a couple silver pre-1967 dimes somewhere around the house. If I could find a gas station attendant who knew the value of silver, he'd still give me a gallon of gas for those two silver dimes. Gas hasn't gone up, money's gone down. Could we get real here?

Never in my life have I heard numbers like I hear now. 250 billion dollars a day to keep the war gong. We borrow that from China just to keep up. All told, we're spending 8 billion an hour to run this show of food stamps, handouts to other nations and supporting ...Jeez over 1500 US bases on foreign soil.

An interesting You Tube exchange between Ron Paul and Mr. Bernanke over the role of the Fed.

http://news.google.com/news/url?sa=t&ct=:ePkh8BM9EwLbwQq0w4AFYguQXWLACqJyIUIZQixCTKk5QlJaYkH5eQoBiaU5Cmn5RQoFRanFmSmpeSUGnDAXGAlUcjOn8lRkPO0qsX1hKeHKDAAzuxWw/8-3-0&fp=47f650a2a3b2bdb7&ei=k1_2R7ulFYquygTT8dDhCg&url=http%3A//www.connietalk.com/bernanke_paul_040308.html&cid=1148235916&npp=POP&sig2=ThkmpUYFTA8NrjShFEsRlw&usg=AFrqEzfyVC5ctyy2Nu2aWdjV8snf5MUb3Q

A small history of World Domination

First you want a car. Then you want a fast car. Now you want the fastest car. Never mind why, you just do. That's how the Napoleon's of the world are. Hitler only wanted some room to stretch out and a sea port. After all, every country in the world except maybe Iceland has been stolen from someone else. So these little men set out to prove their greatness.

Modern land grabs start where the oil is. No oil killed Japan and kept the German air force grounded on D Day. A student of history can be obsessed with great fighter aircraft and clever flanking plays by one army or another but modern warfare means bombs falling on your wife and children. No matter how smart the bomb, how clever the detonator or what happened to the pilots best friend the day before, the bomb ends everything you ever loved and devastates your life and the lives of everyone you know because it's not going to fair and over there. It's going to here and near. In the next five years, unless we take stock of who we are and who's boss of us, it will be within the realm of possibilities to have four or five nuclear events happen a year around the world. How can they miss us if we're everywhere building empires?

They used to say "the sun never sets on the British Empire". Then this little old Indian man, Mahatma Gandhi, started a peaceful revolution in his own country to get the British out. When a man couldn't find work and took a job working for the British, neighbors left gifts of food and clothing at his door so he might have more time to find a regular job. This was civil disobedience at it's best. Still, when they disobeyed British law, sometimes massacres took place on unarmed civilians. One such event happened when the people were breaking British law by taking salt from their own sea. When the press got a hold of it (something that doesn't happen in our country if it's coming from Iraq), the people of England had to ask themselves if empire was worth the price. They must have decided it wasn't, because the empire began to crumble from lack of public support. We too, need to ask ourselves if the price we're paying is worth it.

Where we are now

To be continued......

<img width='1' height='1'
